The site is located across the street from Texas A&M University. Zoning at the property was recently changed to MF (Multifamily/Student) and the College Station City Council has approved a conceptual development plan allowing for a maximum of 142 units. While the site represents an excellent opportunity for a student housing development given its close proximity to Texas A&M University, it is also located in the Research Valley BioCorridor which is experiencing robust growth supporting a conventional multifamily development. The site is available all-cash, and we look forward to discussing this development opportunity with you further. MARCH 2020 Tim Michl SEASON OUTLOOK STRENGTHS A&M Soccer concluded their 2018 campaign with a record of 17-5-1 and a winning percentage of .761. The Aggies obtained their 24th straight appearance at the NCAA Championship Tournament and advanced to the second round for their 20th consecutive season. 16 letter winners return from the 2018 campaign, including nine players who started at least 50 percent of last season's 23 matches. The returnees account for 40 of the Aggies' 49 goals from last season. The Maroon & White welcome back All-American Ally Watt and All-SEC performer Addie McCain. Other key returnees include SEC All-Freshman Ásdís Halldórsdóttir and Mexico National Team standout Jimena López. Selected No. 12 in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Preseason Ranking, and No. 1 in the SEC Preseason Coaches’ Poll. WEAKNESSES Lost stability in the goalie position with senior Cosette Morche graduating. Very little to no control over match dates/start times. Schedule moving away from Friday night matches (highest attended matches during past seasons). Loss of strong Maroon Militia leadership, with no true student leadership this student group has lost momentum over the past few seasons. OPPORTUNITIES Strong stability within the community, Coach G has built a program that consistently wins from year to year, helping to build the fan base and create strong support from many members of the community. Unique seating bowl at Ellis Field which allows students & fans to sit around the entire field of play – allowing for a fun and exciting atmosphere. NCAA in-venue noisemaker rules do not apply to soccer, this will allow for noisemakers as giveaways, along with allowing bands (Aggie Band (FTAB), Hullabaloo Band) to come out and play before and during the match.

  • TXSTMA President's Message
Texas Sports Turf Managers Association txstma.org Providing education and training for safer and healthier sports turf facilities Spring 2019 I am always surprised by how quick the first quarter of the year flies by. It seems like we celebrate New Year’s and before we know it spring is here and the boys of summer are back playing baseball. I have been celebrating the fact that the sun has made more of a consistent appearance these last few months and it is- n’t overcast and raining. TXSTMA has announced the spring field days for all 3 regions. The first TXSTMA field day will be held at Sylvester Turner Park in Hou- Troy Crawford ston on April 25th. We are very appreciative of all our hosts to share Moneygram Soccer Park their facilities with us. Not only do we have amazing venues to see TXSTMA President but we have some really smart people who would like to share their wisdom with us. I would like to give a big thanks to all of them as well as all of our amazing sponsors. It definitely takes a village to put on a field day and I would like to personally thank everyone involved who help make each event happen. I would like to announce that we will be giving away 2 trips this year to the 2020 National STMA Conference and Exhibition on January 13-16 in West Palm Beach, Florida. TXSTMA will take care of the winner’s air fare, 4 night hotel stay, and conference registration. You will re- ceive one ticket for this drawing when you pay your TXSTMA membership dues.
