Cohen (14.6 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 4.1 apg) received all-district honors for the second consecutive season. The Tarzana, Calif. native is a finance major with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.68. Davis (17.1 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.1 apg) earned academic all-district honors for the first time. The Battlefield, Mo. is an ocean engineering major with a 3.38 cumulative GPA. AMERICAN’S SA’EED NELSON IS FIRST PATRIOT LEAGUE MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER TO REACH 2,000-500-500 American senior guard Sa’eed Nelson became the first men’s basketball player in League history to reach 2,000 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists. The 2019-20 Patriot League Preseason Player of the Year became the eighth player to top 2,000 career points and 10th to reach 500 assists in the same game vs. Bucknell (Feb. 15.). Earlier this season, Nelson eclipsed 500 career rebounds against Lafayette (Feb. 1). He is the only active NCAA DI men’s basketball student-athlete to have reached those three marks. Nelson is sixth in League history in scoring (2,034), 10th in assists (506) and 74th in rebounds (533).
