Previous works were either short notes on short-lived expeditions or about at most a province and its environment. Also, works including description of new taxons are sometimes encountered. As opposed to this, European fauna has almost been investigated entirely as mentioned in Sama (2002) and Russian fauna has also been given mainly in Danilevsky (2012). As known, a series work was planned with the aim to expose Turkish Cerambycidae fauna with as much detail as possible and entirely by beginning from the Black Sea Region (see Part I). The present study is an attempt at the fifth step of this aim. The South-Eastern Anatolian Region will be evaluated into two divisions as Central Fırat Part and Dicle Part with regard to some interesting properties. Finally, with the desire to be useful for entomologists studying on Turkish fauna, longicorn beetles of South-Eastern Anatolian Region are evaluated and interpreted with respect to their nomenclatural, taxonomical, faunistical and zoogeographical features. COVERED GEOLOGICAL AREA OF THE PRESENT WORK The research area of the present work covers the South-Eastern Anatolian Region. As see below, the South-Eastern Anatolian Region has two parts. 1. Central Fırat Part including three provinces, namely Adıyaman, Gaziantep and Şanlıurfa bordered by Mediterranean Region in the West, Dicle Part of South-Eastern Anatolian Region of Turkey in the East, Eastern Anatolian Region in the North and Syria in the South. 2. Dicle Part including forth provinces as Batman, Diyarbakır, Mardin and Siirt bordered by Central Fırat Part of South- Eastern Anatolian Region of Turkey in the West, Eastern Anatolian Region in the North and East and Syria and Iraq in the South. As given in Part I, Turkey is divided into seven regional parts commonly. The South- Eastern Anatolian Region includes two parts as follows: South-Eastern Anatolian Region 1. Central Fırat Part (including Gaziantep, Adıyaman and Şanlıurfa provinces) 2. Dicle Part (including Diyarbakır, Mardin, Batman and Siirt provinces) _____________ Mun. Ent. Zool. Vol. 8, No. 1, January 2013___________ 69 ARRANGEMENT OF INFORMATION Information in the present text is given in the following order: The subfamily and the tribe names are given simply. For the genus and subgenus names, the type species are provided under the taxon names. For each species, the reported South-Eastern Anatolian Region as connected with the geological area covered by the present work using the symbols (*CFP), (*DP) are given just under the taxon names. For each species, except examined species in Parts I-IV, the whole subspecies are provided under the taxon names. The data, except examined species in Parts I-IV, Other names, Material examined, Records in Turkey, Distribution, Remarks and Chorotype under the title for each taxon is given. The data of examined species occur in both Parts I-IV, Records in Turkey, Records in South-Eastern Anatolian Region, Remarks and Chorotype under the title for each taxon is given. Other names. In these parts, as possible as the whole other names including all infraspecific names (synonym, variety, morpha, form, aberration etc.) are provided. Records in Turkey. Except the examined species in Parts I-IV, on the first line are given in paranthesis abbreviations of the provinces and lands in Turkey. These parts include previous records that have been given by various authors in different literatures. The whole records are evaluated as only concerning province and locality in the related reference. Each record is accompanied by the author’s name and publication date of the related reference. For the examined species in Parts I-IV, on the first line are given (in paranthesis) only abbreviations of the provinces and lands in Turkey. Records in South-Eastern Anatolian Region. Under this title, for the examined species in Parts I-IV, the distributions data only related to the South-Eastern Anatolian Region among the records in the whole of Turkey which presented in Parts I-IV. Distribution. In these parts, the whole distribution areas in the world are provided for each taxon except the examined species in Parts I-IV. Remarks. In these parts, taxonomical and nomenclatural problems are discussed for some taxons and are given regional and general distribution range in Turkey chiefly, except the examined species in Parts I-IV. Chorotype. The present zoogeographical characterization is based on the chorotype classification of Anatolian fauna, recently proposed by Vigna Taglianti et al. (1999). In the text, as far as possible one chorotype description can be identificated for each taxon. But this kind of description can not be possible for some taxons, so two or more chorotypes are used for them. Maps. The maps are given in the Appendix. For each taxon, a map showing distribution patterns in Turkey is used. On the maps, the black colored parts are represented the European Turkey records in Althoff & Danilevsky (1997). So Edirne province is black colored representatively. The other distribution patterns in Turkey are shown with simple black colored parts as seen on maps. CLASSIFICATION In this paper, classification and nomenclature of the longhorned beetles suggested by Löbl & Smetana (2010), Danilevsky (2012) and Özdikmen (2012) are followed chiefly. Within the subfamilies all genera are listed in the same order in Özdikmen (2012). Within the genera the species are listed alphabetically. Each name of a species or subspecies is accompanied by the author’s name and description date. 70 _____________ Mun. Ent. Zool. Munis Entomology & Zoology, 7 (1): 22-45] ABSTRACT. The paper gives an annotated list of the Cerambycidae collected during the entomological surveys carried on in the years 2010 and 2011 by G. Sama and P. Rapuzzi in central and eastern Turkey. The most interesting records regard Trichoferus fissitarsis Sama, & Fallahzadeh & Rapuzzi, 2005 and Turanoclytus ilamensis (Holzschuh, 1975) which are new records for the Turkish fauna. Many species constitute the first record for various Turkish provinces. Phytoecia katarinae (Holzschuh, 1974) is transferred to the genus Semiangusta Pic, 1893. KEY WORDS: Cerambycidae, Coleoptera, new records, Turkey. During the years 2010 and 2011 G. Sama and P. Rapuzzi organized scientific expeditions to the Anatolian peninsula in order to verify the distribution of Coleoptera, Cerambycidae, especially in the southern and eastern provinces of this country. H. Özdikmen gave assistance during both trips solving serious problems of various kind. The itinerary of the first trip (13 June–2 July 2010) included the following provinces: Ankara, Yozgat, Sivas, Erzincan, Tunceli, Elazığ, Bingöl, MuĢ, Bitlis, Van, Hakkari, ġırnak, Mardin, Adıyaman, KahramanmaraĢ, Malatya, Tokat and Ordu.

In recent years, the consumption and trade of forest products has increased substantially and is projected to further increase in the years ahead (HICKS 2001). Forest stands are the main source of wood products. Global demand for wood is expected to reach 5.6 billion m³ in 2020. This demand can not be met by natural forests alone. Some alternative sources, such as commercial plantations, may close this gap between the demand and supply of wood. Importation and exportation of forest products are used by nations to close this gap. The increasing volume of the global trade of forest products has dramatically increased the likelihood of the introduction of exotic pests into non-infested regions throughout the world.

Fol. Hist.-nat. Mus. Matr., 14: 125-127, 1989 A Phytoecia scutellata FABR. tápnövénye és életmódja (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) KOVÁCS Tibor Bátonyterenye ABSTRACT: (Feed-plant and way of life Phytoecia scutellata FABR.) - This paper is about a rare long-horned beetle Phytoecia scutellata FABR., feed- plant and way of life of which thus far has been unknown. This species was studied in its natural habitat and also in terrarium for several years. Our investigations have proved that the impregnated female lays one egg into the meeting-point of the leaf and stem of the second-year-old longleaf (Falcaria vulgaris BERNH., Umbelliferae). The larvae eat in the root in consequence of which the plant dies and no overground trace remains of it. Pupation takes place in autumn, and in November the beetles wait for the next spring as imagos. E pontusi elterjedésű ritka faj elsősorban meleg, déli kitettségű sztyeppterületeken, szik lafüves lejtőkön található. Magyarországi előfordulása szórványos (KASZAB, 1971). Gyűjtőhelyeit a JAKUCS & DÉVAI (1985) - féle UTM rendszerű hálótérkép szemlélteti.

This contribution provides a detailed account about additional species and subspecies that were collected from different areas and localities of the SCR, in as much as reporting two new species to be recorded for the first time from the Syrian territory, namely: Stenopterus atricornis Pic, 1891 and Pogonocherus barbarae Rapuzzi et Sama, 2012. Among the examined catches, one specimen was identified down to the genus level, but its species status is doubtful and its validity still needs further examination. All availabe faunistics, biogeographies and bionomics of all the reported species and subspecies are given. Moreover, a complete, refined and annotated checklist of the Syrian Cerambycidae was introduced, with special reference to all taxa recoreded from SCR up to the time of publication of this work. FOLIA HISTORICO NATURALIA MUSEI MATRAENSIS 1995 20: 185-197 Magyarországi cincér tápnövények (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) KOVÁCS TIBOR - HEGYESSY GÁBOR ABSTRACT: [Foodplants of Hungarian longhorn beetles (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae).] The authors summa rize foodplant data published in earlier literature (135 species of longhorn beetles from 97 species of foodp lants) together with their own unpublished data (116 species of longhorn beetles from 69 species of foodplants). These combined sources cover 150 species of longhorn beetles from 116 species of foodplants.

  • And Beetle (Coleoptera) Assemblages in Meadow Steppes of Central European Russia
15/2 • 2016, 113–132 DOI: 10.1515/hacq-2016-0019 Effect of summer fire on cursorial spider (Aranei) and beetle (Coleoptera) assemblages in meadow steppes of Central European Russia Nina Polchaninova1,*, Mikhail Tsurikov2 & Andrey Atemasov3 Key words: arthropod assemblage, Abstract Galich’ya Gora, meadow steppe, Fire is an important structuring force for grassland ecosystems. Despite increased summer fire. incidents of fire in European steppes, their impact on arthropod communities is still poorly studied. We assessed short-term changes in cursorial beetle and Ključne besede: združba spider assemblages after a summer fire in the meadow steppe in Central European členonožcev, Galičija Gora, Russia. The responses of spider and beetle assemblages to the fire event were travniška stepa, poletni požar. different. In the first post-fire year, the same beetle species dominated burnt and unburnt plots, the alpha-diversity of beetle assemblages was similar, and there were no pronounced changes in the proportions of trophic groups. Beetle species richness and activity density increased in the second post-fire year, while that of the spiders decreased. The spider alpha-diversity was lowest in the first post- fire year, and the main dominants were pioneer species. In the second year, the differences in spider species composition and activity density diminished. The main conclusion of our study is that the large-scale intensive summer fire caused no profound changes in cursorial beetle and spider assemblages of this steppe plot. Mitigation of the fire effect is explained by the small plot area, its location at the edge of the fire site and the presence of adjacent undisturbed habitats with herbaceous vegetation.
