A pair of trashcan pandas managed to break into a closed Chase Bank in Redwood City, . The thought of getting rich likely isn't what drew them in. But they seemed to be keen on an open box of almond cookies. A few computer screens and papers got knocked over in the process. How they got into the bank would make even the best bank robbers jealous. A humane society rep says they climbed a tree next to the bank, got into the building's air ducts, and fell through the ceiling tiles. NASA successfully landed a spacecraft on an asteroid for the first time ever. The goal is to collect samples to bring back to Earth. Scientists think the space rock contains some of the building blocks that created the solar system. But the news isn't all rosy yet. World War II Veteran Millie Bailey has wanted to go skydiving for a decade. Amazingly, that means the thought popped into her head when she was 92. Now at 102, she finally accomplished her goal. Her past accomplishments have been recognized by President Obama and President Trump. She constantly sends care packages to troops, and raises about 10-grand a year for schoolchildren. Her latest feat was a bit more exhilarating. She says as soon as she began flying through the air, she felt like she was alone, rather than attached to a trained skydiver. OUTCUE: (laughing)

‘Reader’s Digest’ Names Nicest Town In America AUDIO: Heather Grace SOCIAL MEDIA: Photo LENGTH: 00:00:17 LEAD: And the nicest town in America is... Buchanan, Michigan! Situated near nothing at all interesting, the town of about 45-hundred people came together to unite during a time of unrest in the U.S. At least that's according to the folks at ‘Reader's Digest.’ Despite Black Lives Matter protests and arguments about how to handle the pandemic, all things apparently ran smoothly in Buchanan. Of note in the article was 'The Scarecrow Factory,' a local store specializing in locally made goods. Jackson Scholz, a champion of the 200-meter sprint in the 1924 Olympics, is one of the notable names from the town. Heather Grace, who recently moved to the area says the town lives up to its reputation. Buchanan is about a 30-minute drive from South Bend, Indiana. It's roughly 3-hours West of Detroit.
