Extension requests will not be granted for any lot already accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, except by special permission. 9th September.qxp_Layout 1 07/08/2018 09:49 Page 10 FURTHER INFORMATION ON LOTS: We have recently had an increasing number of requests for photocopies and for further details of lots, in writing or by telephone. Where a lot comprises a few covers or stamps or for collections where general comments on condition are required this is no problem, but we regret that it is not practical to give exhaustive details of collections - in these circumstances postal viewing is the answer! PAYMENT: Payments for lots purchased should be within 14 days of the sale date unless other arrangements have been made. Because of new Customs and Excise money laundering regulations we can no longer accept payments in cash of 15,000 Euros and over or equivalent in sterling etc. for any single transaction. Accounts still outstanding one month after the sale will be charged interest on the whole amount at 3% per month or part thereof. These conditions will be strictly adhered to. Payment by Credit Card - see bid form. Our Bankers: National Westminster Bank plc, 118 Walsgrave Road, Coventry CV2 4ZZ. A/c No: 29630592 IBAN GB65 NWBK 52300229630592 Sort Code 523002 BIC/Swift Code NWBK GB2L Please make cheques payable to TONY LESTER AUCTIONS LTD. OVERSEAS PAYMENTS: Please ensure if making a bank transfer to our account that the invoice total in full is credited to our account and any bank charges must be paid by the purchaser. Lots will not be released until the invoice has been paid in full. We do not accept payment by cheque in currencies other than sterling. POSTAGE ON LOTS BOUGHT: Spurred on by the increases in Registered Post and other P.O. charges, we have negotiated a new deal with our insurers, and lots bought by postal bidders will now be sent as below unless you specifically require otherwise and state so on your bid form. (Please repeat any special instructions each time you bid, as our staff cannot guarantee to remember all our customer’s specific requirements). 1. Inland Buyers Up to £250 will be sent by Recorded Delivery post. Over £250 by Registered post. 2. Overseas Buyers Up to £100 will be sent by ordinary post with certificate of posting. Over £100 by Registered or Insurance Air Mail etc. This will result in reduced postage charges for the majority of customers. There will be a combined Insurance/Packing charge of £2 on all Inland invoices, and £3 on all overseas invoices. CATALOGUE PRICES: Catalogue prices are by S.G. unless otherwise stated except for errors/varieties which are either by S.G. or from the online Pierron errors catalogue. As S.G. do not generally provide separate mounted and unmounted prices, then any catalogue price quoted should be read in conjunction with the rest of the description as to whether the stamps are hinged or not, and the condition of the stamps is of course reflected in our estimate. 9th September.qxp_Layout 1 07/08/2018 09:50 Page 11 BUYERS PREMIUM: A Buyers Premium equivalent to 20.4% (incI. VAT) of the knock-down price will be added to all purchases. BIDDING BY TELEPHONE: We regret that we are unable to accept bidding by telephone during the sale on individual lots of less than £500 value. We have recently had difficulty with telephone calls being transferred at the hotel and we recommend that you bid postally if you cannot attend, or we can put you in touch with an auction agent. AUCTION RESULTS - If you wish to find out if you were successful in our Auction we suggest that you do not telephone before about 11.00am on the Monday after the sale - up until this time we will only be able to give provisional unchecked realisations. LATE TELEPHONE BIDS (Hotel Tel: 02476 301585 and ask for Tony Lester Auctions) PLEASE NOTE THAT TELEPHONE BIDS TO THE HOTEL ON THE DAY OF THE SALE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER 12.45PM IMPORTANT NOTE RE VAT Lots with a “†” after the lot number are subject to VAT at 20% on the knock-down price of the lot, unless the purchaser is outside the EU and the lots are dispatched to an address outside the EU. Lots with an “X” after the lot number are subject to VAT on the amount (if any) by which the hammer price exceeds the face value of the stamps in that lot. 9th September.qxp_Layout 1 07/08/2018 09:50 Page 12 COLLECTIONS, ACCUMULATIONS ETC. A player's ranking is determined by her results at a maximum of 16 tournaments for singles and 11 for doubles. The tournaments that count towards a player's ranking are those that yield the highest ranking points during the rolling 52-week period. They must include points from the Grand Slams and Premier Mandatory tournaments; for those players who qualify, ranking points earned at the WTA Finals will count as the 17th bonus tournament. For Top 20 players, their best two results at Premier 5 tournaments (Dubai, Rome, Cincinnati, Toronto and Wuhan) will also count.
