FUTURITY RULES: 1) Futurity to be governed by 2020 ApHC rulebook. 2) Scores of all judges will be combined. 3) Ties will be broken by a predetermined call judge. 4) 80% of all entry fees to be included in purse. 5) Entries must be received by due date. Postmarks are not acceptable. 6) Entries may be paid by debit or credit cards and may be pre-authorized. 7) Entries will be required to pay daily haul-in fee or overnight stabling fee. 8) No refunds or substitutions allowed. 9) Yearling Trifecta is a combined score from your respective halter class, your yearling Longeline class, and yearling in hand trail. 1. All Breeds, Appaloosas, and Pintos to show in the same class at the same time, and results for each approving breed organization will be produced separately. The class list clearly states which breeds are eligible to show in each class. 2. Solid pintos competing for breed points must show in the solid pinto horse classes due to pinto rules not allowing them to show with colored pinto horses. 3. Show management must inspect all ApHC and PtHA certificates of registration on the horses to be shown for breed points. 4. If showing for ApHC or PtHA breed points. Exhibitors, horse owners, and lessees must hold current 2020 membership with the breed organization. If you cannot produce a current membership card you will need to purchase another membership at the show BEFORE you can show. 5. Youth, Amateur, and Non-Pro Walk-Trot may not cross enter into any of the 3 gaited classes at the same show. 6. Ranch Horse Exhibitors/Horses: There is no cross entry from ApHC or PtHA Ranch Classes into the standard western pleasure, hunter under saddle, western horsemanship, English equitation, etc… allowed. 7. Class #68 Grand & Reserve Halter is open to any horses who placed 1st or 2nd in classes #8 through #67. This is an all breed grand and reserve halter class. 8. Saddle Pleasure Type – ie: Arabian, Saddlebred, Tennessee Walker, etc. 9. Stock Hunter Type- Appaloosa, Quarter Horse, Paint, etc.. 10. Colored Breed – Must show visible color or be registered with a color breed Assoc. 11. Novice All Breed Classes- not to have won 3, 1st places in that division or be in your first year of showing. 12. All out of state equine must have a current coggins and health certificate (within 30 days) in their possession per Oregon State Law. 13. Only one horse/one rider combination are eligible to compete for high point awards. 14. This show is governed by ApHC and PtHA Rules. 15. Show Management reserves the right to dismiss any exhibitor or owner from the show and grounds for any abuse of an equine. Refunds will not be given in this case. 16. Refunds are only available with show management approval or a valid vet certificate. 17. Dogs must be under control and kept on a leash at all times. Failure to obey this rule can result in a citation. 18. Stalls are provided with initial bedding only. All additional bedding must be brought in by exhibitors. 19. Placings are 1st thru 6th, Placings in Youth Classes are 1st thru 8th.

Spotted Spring Spectacular May 30-31, 2020 Liability Release/Participation Agreement

The undersigned agrees to release Oregon Appaloosa Breeders Assoc, Oregon Trail Appaloosa Horse Club, The Yamhill County Fairgrounds, and Yamhill County, their directors, officers, and all members and their volunteers, employees, or agents from all responsibility for any loss or accident that may occur to horse, rider, owner, agent, or equipment. I will waive any further claim against Oregon Appaloosa Breeders Assoc, Oregon Trail Appaloosa Horse Club, The Yamhill County Fairgrounds, and Yamhill County or this shows volunteers. I hereby certify that every horse and rider/handler is eligible to be shown as entered and am bound by the rules of the Appaloosa Horse Club, The Pinto Horse Association of America, and Oregon Appaloosa Breeders Assoc, and Oregon Trail Appaloosa Horse Clubs’ open show rules.

Participation Agreement, Notice Release, and Acknowledgement of Risk: I accept and clearly understand that riding a horse can be hazardous, especially in an equestrian event; that there are inherent and other risks involved in riding a horse; and that injuries are a common and ordinary occurrence. I freely accept and assume those risks. I therefore release Oregon Family Equestrian Activities, Inc. (OFEA), its members and show grounds’ owners and all of their agents and employees, from any and all liability for damage and injury to myself, my horse, or to any person or property resulting from my riding a horse in this equestrian event, accepting myself the full responsibility for any and all such damage or injury of any kind which may result. I agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold OFEA, show grounds’ owners and all of their agents and employees, harmless from any and all claims, actions, liability, or costs including attorney fees and other costs of defense, arising out of or in any way related to my riding a horse in this equestrian event. The limitations on liability provided in ORS 30.691 shall apply to an adult participant in the circumstances listed in subsection (1)(b) of this section if the participant, prior to riding, training, driving, grooming or riding as a passenger upon an equine, knowingly executes a release stating that as a condition of participation, the participant waives the right to bring an action against the equine professional or equine activity sponsor for an injury or death arising out of riding, training, driving, grooming or riding as a passenger upon the equine. A release so executed shall be binding upon the adult participant. I hereby certify that every horse is eligible as entered. I make these entries at my own risk and understand that equine events are potentially dangerous. Show management, owners of the facility, and/or Oregon Family Equestrian Activities shall not be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss that may occur to any exhibitor, their representatives, or to their horses, equipment, or vehicles. Presentation of this entry with my entry fee shall be deemed acceptance of the above. I understand and agree that this show shall be conducted under the rules of Oregon Family Equestrian Activities and that of the Show Management
