Onun uğurlu həyat yolunun 55 ili arxe- ologiya elmi ilə sıx, ayrılmaz bağlıdır. Azərbaycanın, Cənubi Qafqazın tunc dövrü mədəniyyətini tədqiq edən elə bir arxeoloq, tarixçi və mədəniyyətşü- nas tapılmaz ki, yubilyarın elmi irsindən bəhrələnməsin. Professor Qüdrət Seyfulla oğlu İsmayılzadənin əsərləri Kür-Araz mədəniyyətinin öyrənilmə- sində təməl daşını təşkil edir. Qüdrət İsmayılzadə 1934-cü ildə Bakı şəhərində tanınmış neftçi, bu- ruq ustası Seyfulla Xudadat oğlunun ailəsində dünyaya göz açmışdır. Ağır müharibə illərinə təsadüf edən uşaqlıq illərində yaşadığı çoxmillətli Suraxa- nı qəsəbəsindəki məhəllə sakinlərinin bütün çətinliklərə baxmayaraq mehri- ban qonşuluğu, qarşılıqlı yardımı və qayğıkeşliyi onun xarakterinin forma- laşmasında özünəməxsus rol oynamış, milli dil və din mənsubiyyətindən asılı olmayaraq müxtəlif xalqların adət-ənənəsinə, tarix və mədəniyyətinə maraq

    Diyalog 2020/1: 29-47 (Research Article) Seyahat Notları ve Oryantalist Bilgi Üretimi: Eduard Sachau (1845-1930) Örneği∗ Remzi Avcı , Mardin https://dx.doi.org/10.37583/diyalog.759411 Öz 19. yüzyılda misyoner, oryantalist, asker, yönetici ve araştırmacılar olmak üzere farklı meslek gruplarından birçok Avrupalı, Osmanlı topraklarını dolaşarak arkalarında seyahat kitapları bırakmışlardır. Klasik bilimsel çalışmaların aksine alternatif bir araştırma modeli olarak kabul edilebilecek olan seyahat yazını bir anlatı türü olarak sosyal bilimlerin farklı disiplinleri için oldukça sübjektif verilere dayansa da yoğun ve zengin bir bilimsel materyal sunmaktadır. Bu bağlamda bir Alman oryantalist ve seyyah olan Eduard Sachau (1845-1930) Osmanlı toprakları içerisinde 1879’da başlayarak yaklaşık altı ay süren bir seyahat gerçekleştirmiş ve seyahat notlarını Reise in Syrien und Mesopotamien (Suriye ve Mezopotamya Seyahati) adıyla 1883 yılında Almanya’da kitap olarak yayımlamıştır. Aslında bir filolog olan Sachau, tıpkı bir sosyolog, antropolog ve arkeolog gibi dolaşarak Osmanlı taşrasında yaşayan Arap, Kürt, Türk, Nasturi, Yakubi ve Yezidiler hakkında önemli bilgiler sunmuştur. Bu çalışma, bir bilim insanı olarak Sachau’nun seyahatinin oryantalist bilgi üretim süreci olduğunu iddia etmekte ve onun süreçte bu topladığı bilgiyi farklı yollarla akademik metinlere transfer ettiğini öne sürmektedir. Contrary to classical scientific studies, travel writing can be considered as an alternative research model. Although travelogues are based on highly subjective data for the social science as a narrative genre, it provides intense and rich scientific materials.

    LIST OF POLITICAL PRISONERS Union for the Freedom for Political Prisoners of Azerbaijan on 10 August 2020 191 persons After former KGB general Heydar Aliyev came to power in 1993, in Azerbaijan, political repressions began in the country. In 2003, he was replaced by his son Ilham Aliyev, and the repressions against dissidents became systematic. Azerbaijani human rights defenders regularly compile the list of “prisoners of conscience” and political prisoners. Current list, by August 10, 2020, includes all arrested and convicted on political motives, about whom it was possible to collect detailed information. The presence of items on the antiquities market said to come from the Van region attracted the interest of Austen Henry Layard, which led to brief excavations at the site of Toprakkale by the British Museum under Hormuzd Rassam in 1877, followed by further also brief investigations by K. Kamsarakan as well as continued illegal excavations. It is commonly held that Carl Friedrich Lehmann-Haupt and Waldemar Belck excavated here between 1898– 1899, but research performed in the Ottoman Archives of the Prime Minister’s Office reveals their claim to have excavated there to be fraudulent and empty. This article uses primary source material from Ottoman archives to investigate the excavation history of one of the most iconic sites for the beginnings of Urartian Studies, and compels us to re-evaluate what we think we know about Toprakkale and the provenance of the objects associated with it. Toprakkale/Rusaḫinili Qilbanikai is located roughly 5 km east of the Van Citadel (Ṭušpa), the Urartian capital. The limestone natural hill on which the citadel stands is connected to Mount Zimzim behind it (Fig. 1). The citadel is 400 metres long on the north-south axis and 60–70 metres wide. According to admission rules, admission to all civil higher schools, special purpose education institutions of Ministry of Defenсe, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of National Security, Ministry of Emergency Situations, and State Border Service has been held in a centralized way. At first sight, although there are annually repeated procedures and regulations, activities of SSAC are improved year by year, in general.
