NB Places at St Bartholomew’s no longer need to be booked, but places at St Lawrence and St Swithun churches must be booked in advance as numbers are restricted. NB If you feel at all unwell, please do NOT come to church in person, to protect others from infection. The services at St Lawrence and St Swithun are available on the usual Zoom codes as well. If you join in on Zoom please be aware that the hymn words will not be visible, but a copy of the liturgy is available on the website, or from the Parish Office on request. Covid guidelines still apply (sanitiser, social distancing, face coverings, no singing). Midweek Communion services at St Lawrence have resumed on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at 10.30am (ie 14th and 28th July). Please contact Revd Amanda to book a place (01962 884585). Jo Gibbins RiP: Jo’s funeral will take place on Thursday 15th July at Basingstoke Crematorium. Any enquiries to Amanda, please (01962 884585). Alastair Colquhoun RiP: Alastair’s (private) funeral on Friday 16th July at 11.30am will be live- streamed from St Lawrence and available on the usual Zoom codes. Diocesan governance: it has been announced that Bishop Tim’s period of stepping back from ministry will continue until at least the end of August, in order to allow time and space for the ongoing facilitated conversations. Bishop David will also continue to stand back for this time, while Bishop Debbie continues to lead the Diocese. Please pray for all involved. On 10th July at 3.30-5.30pm we meet in St Bartholomew’s churchyard for a ‘God-family Picnic’, celebrating National Godparents’ Sunday with the Bible story of Feeding the 5,000. UK Churches’ Relay to COP26 (26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties): People have set off from St Ives where the G7 met and will reach Glasgow in October in time for COP26. They are in Winchester 24th and 25th July. Details in the July-August parish magazine. St Bartholomew’s Church and Hyde Parish Hall: Both buildings now require urgent and expensive repairs.
