Weisenburger. Father Weisenburger, pastor of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, presented Sister Barbara Joseph with a check for $42,000 as part of the celebration honoring her for her work with the homeless of Oklahoma City. The $42,000 gift was the high- light of the dinner celebration held Nov. 12 inside a packed Connor Center on the campus of the Cathe- dral. The event focused attention on Sister Barbara Joseph’s efforts to care for the homeless. The Carmelite nun is founder of Sister BJ’s Pantry, a ministry close to downtown Oklahoma City that provides food, clothing and a warm smile for the street people of the state’s largest city. “We’re starting a new program with the vision to take homeless Sister Barbara Joseph Foley accepts a check for $42,000 from Father Edward J.
