It’s a popular event so come early to get a seat. Tree Lighting Party The Second Annual Community Tree Lighting Party, organized by Alan and Jodi Gear, takes place on Saturday, December 8 at the Port Union Community Centre (5450 Lawrence Ave. E). The fun gets underway at 5 p.m. with the tree lighting starting at 7:30. They’ve got 30 vendors, photos with Santa, face painting, games, hot chocolate Or maybe we should say Meowy Christmas and Yappy New Year! WHO’S HOT: • Brad Marchand had two goals and three assists today, giving him 7-5=12 totals in five of his last six games ... His first of the day was his second shorthanded goal of the season, tying him with several players for the NHL lead in that category, including teammate Dominic Moore, and was the 21st of his career which is the most by any player since Marchand entered the league in 2009-10 ...
