Page 1 Bolton began working with comics in the late 70's and made his initial impact on the U.S. market in 1980. He has since continued to work for mainly for American publishers, winning several awards, and has also worked for a number of movies. Comics he has illustrated include 'Marada' and 'Black Dragon' with Christopher (X-Men) Claremont, 'Someplace Strange' with Ann Nocenti, 'The Books of Magic' with Neil (Sandman) Gaiman, and many short stories including adaptations of Barker's work in 'Tapping the Vein'.
