The Right Worshipful the Mayor welcomed, in particular, Alderman W J Dillon who was present at the meeting following a significant period of ill health. There was a round of applause from everyone in the Council Chamber as an expression of good wishes to Alderman Dillon. In response Alderman W J Dillon expressed thanks and appreciation to The Right Worshipful the Mayor for his kind words, and to everyone who had visited him in hospital or at home, sent cards or text messages. The Right Worshipful the Mayor requested that all mobile phones be switched off or put on silent for the duration of the meeting. The Chief Executive outlined the evacuation procedures in the case of an emergency. 462 MM 27.08.2019 1.
