The report for Part 2 will be published in December 2014. This report summarizes the work carried out in 2013 and is presented in three sub-reports: • Survey of existing EPR-systems and business models – Relevant types of EPR models and business models with potential for increasing recycling and reuse of textiles are identified and briefly described. • Evaluation of eight EPR-systems and business models – Eight of the models identified in Report 1 are described in more detail, including a first qualitative evaluation. • Costs and benefits of EPR-systems and two business models – Four of the eight models described and qualitatively evaluated in Report 2 are selected for a more quantitative evaluation of costs and benefits. Parsapour* *Environmental Technology and Management, Linköping University, 581 83, Linköping, Sweden SUMMARY: The massive consumption of finite resources creates high economical and environmental costs due to material dispersion and waste generation. In order to overcome this, by-products and wastes may be used, to avoid the use of virgin materials and benefit from the useful inherent energy of the material. By adding value to the material, economic and environmental performance can be improve, which is called upcycling. In this paper, an exergy and economic analysis of a biogas process is examined. In order to investigate if biogas production from wastes can upcycle materials, biogas production from a by- product from the brewing process is examined. From the analysis, the process is found to upcycle the by-product with an increase in exergy and economic benefit due to the generation of biomethane and biofertilizer. This analysis thus shows that by using by-products as such, the sustainability of the system may improve. 1. INTRODUCTION Given the concerns for sustainable development, the availability of energy from fossil sources and their environmental effects continues to produce problems for nations worldwide. With the current availability of alternative energy sources, our dependence on fossil sources can thus be questioned. Among these, bioenergy and biofuels have great potential for development and improvement. However, many experts have criticized the environmental performance and energy efficiency of biofuel production (Wibe, 2010; Akinci, 2008; Searchinger, 2008).

A simulation system consisting of an age-structured population model, a recruitment com - ponent, and a forcing module of different climate, food supply to young-of-the-year, and fishing mortality scenarios was used to estimate the equilibrium stock size and catches under varying environmental conditions and exploitation strategies.

In many nations, schools were closed to students, and teachers directed educational activities remotely via digital devices or homeschooling resources. This article explores how these months of homeschooling have affected the physical activity of Norwegian students in Grades 1–10. All Norwegian students are supposed to have at least 60min of physical activity every day in school. We draw on data from two surveys, one with parents (N = 4,624) and the other with teachers (N = 726), to provide an indication of the daily physical activity students engaged in during the period of homeschooling. Jakamistalous on syn- tynyt maailman finanssikriisin aikoihin ja se on muutamassa vuodessa kasvanut räjähdys- mäisesti, mutta myös jo ehtinyt muuttua matkan varrella. Aihe on herättänyt paljon keskuste- lua puolesta ja vastaan. Jakamistalous on jo muuttanut perinteistä liiketoimintaa ja tulevaisuudessa ne yritykset, jotka pystyvät mukautumaan muutoksiin, tulevat pärjäämään parhaiten. Oleellinen kysymys päät- tävien tahojen pohdittavaksi on kuinka integroida jakamistalous vallitsevaan lainsäädäntöön, sekä miten mukautua uudenlaisten työmuotojen tuomaan ongelmaan esimerkiksi työn vero- tuksen osalta. Tämä opinnäytetyö on tehty Haaga-Helian toimeksiannosta ja on osa Sharing City – Helsin- gistä jakamistalouden edelläkävijä -hanketta. Selvityksen teoreettinen viitekehys avaa käsit- teitä kuten jakamistalous, Sharing City, resurssiviisaus sekä kiertotalous. Päätutkimuskysy- mys on selvittää millaisia jakamistalouden palveluita, yrityksiä ja ilmiöitä Helsingissä on.
