Socia l (I) The Central The Act provides for payment of com pen- security Workme n's Act sation to workmen in the case of injury ca use d Compensation by an acci dent aris ing out of an d in the Act , 1923 course of emp loyment . It al so prov ides fo r paymen t of compensation for certai n occu- pa tional di sea ses.
(2) The Centra l The Act prov ides for five types of be nefits to Emp loyees' Act the emp loyees , vi z. , sicknes s benefi t, ma te r- State nity benefit , di sa blement benefit , depe ndents' In surance benefit and medi ca l benefit . Act , 19 48
(3) The Central The Act seek s to make a provi sion for the Emp loyees ' Act fut ure of indu strial worker after he re ti res or Pro vident is retrenched or fo r hi s dependent s in case Fund s Act, of his earl y dea th. 19 52
(4) The Maternity Cen tra l The Act provides for \ payment of cas h Benefit Act bene fit to wo men workers for specified period s Act , 1961 before and after child birth and for other incidenta l matter s.
(5) The Punjab All unpaid accumulation s of worke rs have Labour to be paid to Labour We lfare Boar d, con st i- Welfa re tuted for the purpo se by the State Gove rnment , Fund Act , which - shall keep a sep arate account to be 1965 utiJised by it for defra ying th e cost of ca rry ing out measures for promoting the welfare of th e labour and their dependent s.
