Love Syahida Khairil Anuar (6A) “My experience as a Library Monitor was quite the journey. To be honest, when I first started out I was quite oblivious. However, day by day I got the hang of things. Although being a Monitor does mean I have to “sacrifice” my recess, I would never turn down an offer to help Mrs. Maria, the Library and AICS itself.

Mohammad Amaan Dodai (5B) My favorite thing by far about being a Library Monitor is doing jobs in the library like stamping ownership mark to new books and tagging the plastic sleeves with the books in them. Another t hing is sorting and shelving books. Being a Library Monitor is an amazing experience and fun even if you give up 1 to 2 recesses every week. ” 2018 PRC 140 • Pathways 2018

There is a special web link for HSC students with subject specific resources known as HSC Study Lab. HSC study Lab covers the whole NSW syllabus for Biology, Chemistry, physics and preliminary business studies. All this is free to use for our students with a library card number. Make sure you join the library at your earliest. From borrowing books to online learning resources, a whole section on Shakespeare’s dramas/novels and homework help through yourtutor.com, libraries are equipped with countless assets that you need to explore. Use of Mr Google is very popular when we look at sources of information but we do not look at who has written those pages and being unable to credit those sources is a big drawback. To minimise this, always retrieve information from authentic websites that end with org., gov. or edu. and give appropriate credit to the sources that you have used in your assignments. Self-borrowing station at secondary library is becoming popular and students are now getting used to borrow on their own by scanning the library card.
