112 CC Meeting (10.6.2021) 1 Annexure -2 of Item No.7 (1-239) 112th CC Meeting (10.6.2021) 1. The decision of the PCI are as under. 2. It is decided that decisions are subject to following conditions. a) the consent of affiliation of the Examining Authority and NOC of the State Government (as applicable) should be available with the institution. b) the institution should have a legal entity status on the date of application to PCI and NOC of the State Government and consent of affiliation of Examining Authority (as applicable )shall be in the name of legal entity. c) They shall produce records of their legal entity and the land and building documents to substantiate their claims. d) Wherever needed inspections will be carried out subsequently and if the facts claimed by the institution are found false, the PCI may change or withdraw the approval. e) Any approval granted by the PCI beyond 2021-2022 academic session will stand but will be considered year on year basis based on the information submitted by institution in online SIF. f) Wherever required, institution shall furnish additional information as sought by the PCI from time to time. g) The request for raise in admissions for D.Pharm course beyond 60 intake is not considered as per the policy of the council. h) Regarding M.Pharm seats, it was noted that 110 Central Council in its meeting held on 11th December, 2020 under item No.273 decided as under - i) 12 specialties / subjects are prescribed in which M.Pharm can be conducted. (Ref: Reguation-9., Appendix-A of M.Pharm Regulations). ii) maximum 15 seats per specialization are sanctioned by PCI (Ref: Regulation-23.(1) of M.Pharm Regulations) Further as per the statutory provisions of M.Pharm Regulations, the ratio of recognized Post-Graduate teacher to number of students to be admitted for the M.Pharm course shall be 1:3. iii) as per the procedure in vogue, the institution applies in SIF for number of seats per specialization / raise in admission in case number of seats sanctioned by PCI are less than 15. iv) In view of above statutory provisions of the M.Pharm Regulations, it was decided that in case institution has the prescribed teaching staff with prescribed experience as per “The Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) Course Regulations, 2014”, PCI shall sanction number of admissions per M.Pharm specialization based on availability of the teaching staff irrespective of institution’s request in SIF. However, under no circumstances more than 15 students per specialization shall be sanctioned. In view of above, M.Pharm seats are decided accordingly. v) The institution shall not make any admission to the increased intake sanctioned by PCI without affiliation of the Examining Authority for raise in admission. 3.
