Seminal recordings included: David Bowie’s Young Americans; The Rolling Stones’ “Hot Stuff,” “Miss You,” “Dance Pt.1,” and “Emotional Rescue”; KISS’s “Strutter ’78,” and “I Was Made For Lovin’ You”; Rod Stewart’s “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy“; and Elton John’s Thom Bell Sessions and Victim of Love. Though disco-rock was a great commercial success during the disco era, it has received limited acknowledgement in post-disco scholarship. This thesis addresses the lack of existing scholarship pertaining to disco-rock. It examines both disco and disco-rock as products of cultural shifts during the 1970s. Disco was linked to the emergence of underground dance clubs in New York City, while disco-rock resulted from the increased mainstream visibility of disco culture during the mid seventies, as well as rock musicians’ exposure to disco music. My thesis argues for the study of a genre (disco-rock) that has been dismissed as inauthentic and commercial, a trend common to popular music discourse, and one that is linked to previous debates regarding the social value of pop music.

No, not all attorneys will require the use of a trust account. Public, corporate and indigent representation agency attorneys are a few that do not require the use of a trust account. Also, attorneys who do not accept money that belongs in the trust account do not need one. Be sure to read Rules 42 E.R. 1.5 (fees), 1.15 (safekeeping property) and Rule 43, Ariz.R.Sup.Ct. I. How to determine whether your practice requires a trust account. 1. What does your fee agreement determine? As stated in Rule 42, E.R. 1.5, written agreements are required with every client. This should include the scope of representation and how much. Therefore, does your fee agreement say earned upon receipt or advanced fees and costs. 2. Do you hold money on behalf of a client (settlement, hold for division of property, etc)? 3. If you do not accept any money in advance for work, costs (filing fees, expert witnesses etc) or from third parties (settlements, etc) you may not need a trust account. Review the rules again to be sure that you do not require the use of a trust account. Also you may call ethics counsel at 602-340-7284. 4. Scope of the Synchronous Motor. Self-starting Synchronous Motors. (a) Modified induction motor. (b) Salient pole motor. Pulling into Synchronism. (a) Field excited. (b) Field unexcited. Self-starting Rotary Converters. Self-synchronizing using Starting Motor. Voltage Distribution between Synchronous Machine and series-connected Starting Motor. This paper was primarily intended to describe a new method of starting synchronous machines; but as self-starting synchronous machines may be somewhat unfamiliar to many engineers—although such machines date back far into the last century—it was thought advisable also to explain the known methods of starting, to illustrate their working by some test results, and to publish in this connection a short theoretical investigation on " pulling into synchronism." SCOPE OF THE SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR. Synchronous motors have two advantages over induction motors : (1) they do not require magnetizing current from the line ; (2) they can be designed, and practically must be designed, with a bigger air- gap than induction motors. Their peculiarity of running at an absolutely fixed speed for a given frequency is only in a few cases a real advantage, and more often a serious drawback. The necessity of continuous-current excitation, and of the proper adjustment of the same, complicates the machine, and however much the starting apparatus may have been improved, it is certainly more complicated than that of a slip-ring or squirrel-cage motor.

    Chapter 9 “You can just take that back, boy!” This order, given by me to Cecil Jacobs, was the beginning of a rather thin time for Jem and me. My fists were clenched and I was ready to let fly. Atticus had promised me he would wear me out if he ever heard of me fighting any more; I was far too old and too big for such childish things, and the sooner I learned to hold in, the better off everybody would be. I soon forgot. Cecil Jacobs made me forget. He had announced in the schoolyard the day before that Scout Finch’s daddy defended niggers. I denied it, but told Jem. “What’d he mean sayin‘ that?” I asked. “Nothing,” Jem said. “Ask Atticus, he’ll tell you.” “Do you defend niggers, Atticus?” I asked him that evening. “Of course I do. Don’t say nigger, Scout. That’s common.” “‘s what everybody at school says.” “From now on it’ll be everybody less one—” “Well if you don’t want me to grow up talkin‘ that way, why do you send me to school?” My father looked at me mildly, amusement in his eyes. Despite our compromise, my campaign to avoid school had continued in one form or another since my first day’s dose of it: the beginning of last September had brought on sinking spells, dizziness, and mild gastric complaints. I went so far as to pay a nickel for the privilege of rubbing my head against the head of Miss Rachel’s cook’s son, who was afflicted with a tremendous ringworm.
