In cases where sheet music is not available or an arrangement for the full band is needed, this gives us time to properly prepare the music. General song requests are not required, as many of our clients simply ask that the band read & react based on their guest's dance response. Our clients that do provide us with song requests do so in varying degrees. Most clients give us a handful of songs or artists they like and want played or avoided. If you wish to maintain the highest degree of control (allowing the band to only play within the margin of songs requested) we would ask for a minimum of 80 requests from the band’s songlist. 'LOW ROTATION' REQUESTS: General requests chosen from the 'Low Rotation' section of this songlist (pages 7-12) must be submitted at least FOUR WEEKS prior to your event. The songs from the 'Low Rotation' section are not in the current ‘IMPULSE’ song rotation, so the band would need extra preparation time. Here’s what you need to know: • Copeland formed in Lakeland, Florida in 2001. The band’s first album, Beneath Medicine Tree, came out in 2003 on indie label The Militia Group. The album’s layered melodies, combined with Marsh’s thoughtful, emotive croon, immediately engaged music fans, offering a nuanced take on the emo music of the early ‘00s. The group unveiled four subsequent albums between 2005 and 2008, including Eat, Sleep, Repeat on Columbia Records in 2006. Copeland signed with Tooth & Nail in 2008 and have partnered with the label to release their long awaited sixth album, Ixora. • In their heyday, the band played over 200 shows a year. They’ve toured with Brand New, Sparta, Goo Goo Dolls, The Rentals, Bob Mould, Switchfoot, Motion City Soundtrack and Guster. Copeland has also historically supported new artists and Paramore’s first ever show was opening for Copeland in Nashville in 2004. • Copeland officially broke up in October of 2009 after nine years as a band. They wrote on their website, “We have come to an extremely difficult decision. It has come time for us to move on from Copeland and follow other paths in our lives. To put your minds at ease, we assure you this is not a bitter break up. We all individually feel Copeland has run its course in our lives and it’s time for us to pursue what is next.” The band members added, “It has been discussed and we are not ruling out the possibility of recording one more album sometime in the future.” • The band members have pursued other musical endeavors over the past few years.

We propose a cross-modal approach based on separate au- dio and image data-sets to identify the artist of a given music video. The identification process is based on an ensemble of two separate clas- sifiers. Audio content classification is based on audio features derived from the Million Song Dataset (MSD). Face recognition is based on Lo- cal Binary Patterns (LBP) using a training-set of artist portrait images. The two modalities are combined using bootstrap aggregation (Bagging). Different versions of classifiers for each modality are generated from sub- samples of their according training-data-sets. Predictions upon the final artist labels are based on weighted majority voting. We show that the visual information provided by music videos improves the precision of music artist identification tasks. 1 Introduction To demonstrate the opportunities of a Music Video Information Retrieval ap- proach, we address the problem of music artist identification - the task of iden- tifying the performing musician of a given track. Music Video Information Re- trieval (MVIR) constitutes a cross-modal approach to Music Information Re- trieval (MIR) problems. Music videos like their underlying audio recordings are pieces of art and are used to accompany or augment the musical track. The visual part adds a second semantic layer to the song which may correlate with the other layers or contradict.
