    ART EXHIBITION “Slovenia through time” DEDICATED TO THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF SLOVENIAN INDEPENDENCE TOMAŽ IZIDOR PERKO CANADA and USA TOUR JUNE 12 TO JULY 5, 2016 Sponsored by Slovenian Government and Slovenian Community in Canada and USA Tomaž Izidor Perko was born on 2 November 1947 in Ljubljana in the family of the Slovenian painter Lojze Perko. He spent his youth in Kamnik, where he completed his elementary and high school education during the years 1954 - 1966. He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana and graduated in 1971, where he also completed postgraduate studies in restoration and conservation with Professor Mirko Šubic. He lived in Ljubljana at first but since 1981 he has lived and worked near Cerknica. He attended many art workshops and exhibited his paintings abroad, among others in Toronto, Vancouver, Stuttgart, Hangzhou in China, and in the town of Brielle in the Netherlands, Vienna and Dubrovnik. Since his first solo exhibition in Kamnik at the time of his study in 1970, he has had numerous exhibitions, the last one being the highly acclaimed exhibition at the National Museum of Slovenia in May 2013. He has won numerous awards and prizes. The exhibition of his latest work – the 10 portraits of outstanding personalities of Slovene cultural history (Valvasor, Trubar, Gallus, Plečnik, Prešeren Cankar, Maister, Potočnik-Noord dung, Jakopič, Kobilca) at Slovenian Embassy in Berlin was a tribute to the pioneers of the Slovenian cultural Europeanization who have gained international fame already in their times and have spread the fame of Slovenian culture abroad.     CHAMBER CONCERTS OF THE 67TH LJUBLJANA FESTIVAL The Slovene Philharmonic String Chamber Orchestra is preparing a concert with the acclaimed mandolinist Avi Avital. Winner of the prestigious Aviv Competition in 2007, Israeli musician Avi Avital is the first mandolinist in the history of the competition to be so honoured. A passionate and charismatic musician, his performances have electrified audiences around the world. He is also the first mandolin soloist to be nominated for a classical Grammy. (29. 7. at 8.00pm, National Gallery) The Georgian Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt was founded in Tbilisi (Georgia) in 1964. Its move to Ingolstadt (Germany) in early 1990 opened a new chapter in its story. Despite the move to a different cultural and geographical environment, it maintains its Eastern European identity, at the same time acting as an important cultural ambassador for the city of Ingolstadt. For its Ljubljana concert the orchestra will be conducted by the Armenian conductor Ruben Gazarian, who since 2015 has also been its artistic director. The soloists will be Fabrizio Meloni (clarinet), Vicente Campos (trumpet) and Giuseppe Albanese (piano). Advantages of 3D technologies are in their wide connectivity and usage. Based on that it is possible for 3D digitized (documented and achieved) file of heritage object to be used in virtual presentation and for 3D printed model, as well as it is also possible to interpret the content of an object as a souvenir in other materials. In paper, most recent projects are presented, which are developed by company IB-PROCADD d.o.o., Slovenia, in cooperation with different partners, mostly with institutions active in the field of cultural heritage. INTRODUCTION In this paper, two cultural heritage 3D digitization projects are presented, which are technically different by form, size, colour, material and environment, where they were digitized. The first project describes smaller polychrome wooden gothic relief of St. Hemma from Nemški Rovt, which were 3D scanned in cooperation with IPCH (Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage) Restoration Centre, above all for testing the technologies in conservation-restoration interventions (Fig.1.).
