Introduction The LX3V-4AD special module has four input channels. The input channels receive analog signals and convert them into a digital value. This is called an A/D conversion, the maximum resolution is 12 bits. The selection of voltage or current based input/output is by user wiring.Analog ranges of -10 to 10V DC (resolution:5mV), and/or 4 to 20mA, -20 to 20mA(resolution:20µA) may be selected. Data transfer between the LX3V-4AD and the LX3V main unit is by buffer memory exchange. There are 32 buffer memories (each of 16 bits) in the LX3V-4AD. LX3V-4AD consume 5V voltage from LX3V main unit or active extension unit,90mA current of power supply. 2. Terminal layouts ① The analog input is received through a twisted pair shielded cable. This cable should be wired separately from power lines or any other lines which may induce electrical noise. ② If a voltage ripple occurs during input, or there is electrically induced noise on the external wiring, connect a smoothing capacitor of 0.1 to 0.47µF, 25V. ③ If you are using current input, connect the V+ and I+ terminals to each other.

Hersh will join literary heavyweights such as Eleanor Catton, Ruth Reichl and Meg Wolitzer at the multi-day festival, which runs from 27—31 August. She will perform her solo show WORDS + MUSIC on 30 August at the magnificent Transitional Cathedral and will make several other !appearances throughout the festival. WORD Christchurch’s Literary Director Rachael King, herself an ex-bass player with several Flying !Nun bands, has been a fan since she was 17. “I am thrilled to bring Kristin to Christchurch to help us redefine the parameters of what a literary festival can be. I had recently read her brilliant memoir, and saw that she was actively touring overseas, promoting both her music and her book. So I sent an invitation to New Zealand and !was overjoyed when she accepted.” In 1986, Throwing Muses was the first American band signed to the legendary label 4AD, which went on to acquire the Muses’ contemporaries, the Pixies and the Breeders. Since then, Hersh has forged a solo career, beginning with 1994’s Hips and Makers, formed 50 Foot Wave, and continued to play with the Throwing Muses; their latest album, Purgatory/Paradise, is !accompanied by a book of photos, essays, stories and lyrics. Hersh’s memoir Paradoxical Undressing tells the remarkable story of a year in her life when she was 17, playing in Throwing Muses, and was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder.

  • Music Is Live and Outside …
Enter the Flange Factory: Math the Band releases a multi-concept project Troubled times call for audacious measures. Math the Band is back, this time with a whirlwind of multimedia the likes of which has never been attempted. Their latest project, Flange Factory Five, is an immersive experience that includes a novel, record, game boy cartridge, energy drink and boutique guitar pedal. MTB, sometimes billed as “Math The Band The Band,” is the project of frontman Kevin Steinhauser and a rotating cast of characters, which currently features guitarist Max Holbrook, bassist Adam Waz and drummer Matt Zappa. The band has been operational for 20 years, and based in Providence for 12. A characteristically joyous effort, the Flange Factory Five features the band’s signature combination of glitchy, 8-bit keyboards over distorted guitars. A project like this requires the boundless energy they put forward in their ecstatic live shows, and it totally comes through on the recording. The uptempo “Dual of the Deer” features guitars and synth lines in roaring triumphiant harmony. “DKWIC” has a great Brian May-style guitar solo, and “Coach Says” is a hard-edged tune at the circle pit end of the spectrum. Stenhouser, who started the project in high school, puts every ounce of himself into the vocals. Along with great playing throughout, this album brings us the best of grit and nerddom, like a skater punk version of the music from Crash Bandicoot. But the video game sounds can belie the smart composition and clever lyrics. “Wet Cement” is ultra-catchy montage fodder about starting a new chapter: “The fear is exciting and I can’t wait to be born.” An additional treat is a suite of “Flange Factory Five” instrumental interludes that could be the jingle for the cartoon television show of the same name.

This Mortal Coil - You and your Sister (1991) (Chamber Pop Group) This songs was originally written and performed by Big Star's Chris Bell, who shares a place in the "27-club" beside Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix. Ivo Watts-Russell, then-owner of the 4AD-Label and Co-Founder of This Mortal Coil, selected in total 4 songs from Bell and Big Star for his rich output of obscure cover versions. Not obscure, but a bit odd, is the way the song was recorded, which can be found in the story of 4AD: Facing the other way - Martin Aston. What appears as an acoustic guitar chord, is a revolving midi-fied sequence, the sweet voices of (then) Pixies' Kim Deal and Tanya Donelly (Throwing Muses), sounding so much in harmony, but were recorded separately, just the string section ought to have played together. The midi-guitar resonates delicious and generously into your room, paving the way for honey sweet female voices, layered with some strings: just a perfect example of chamber pop. Nothing you can hear exposes anything about the tragedy surrounding this song and it's author to the listener. Radical Dance Faction - Hope (1991) (Chamber Pop Group) RDF is masterminded by Chris Bowsher, a musician from Hungerford, whose articulation could have mentored the Sleaford Mods. Meanwhile, his taste in creating spacial soundscapes including accentuation for voices and instruments, just provides a completely different mindset. This song talks about the indecision after terrorists attacks. With a speedy reggae rhythm basement that create the space for the pronounced, in my ears "jazzy" guitar riffs, a female voice contrasted by a male background singer, some meandering saxophone and hand percussion, the music leads the "long long road" to freedom from fear.
