This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together. I remember Defenders so hyped to the leadup of Defenders show. As far as myself and others were concerned, this was an event that could be compared to the Avengers team up, but for TV. The night it released, Defenders binged the majority of the season. Having watched Defenders of it at once, I really loved the show. My hype was kept throughout, and I didn't really see any negatives because of the pace I watched it at. I saved the finale for the next day, and found it to be Defenders excellent ending to the miniseries. I enjoyed Defenders of their solo shows, with Daredevil being my favorite, and was most excited for the interactions Defenders the characters. Defenders that regard, it didn't disappoint. Not one bit. The way that these characters squabble, you really feel that MCU wit, and comedic timing seep through. My personal Defenders part was watching the interactions between Daredevil and Jessica Jones. They played off Defenders each other Defenders well. The other Defenders and the relationships between them were also the highlights of the series. Defenders acting was great, especially by the 4 main characters. Sigourney Weaver as the antagonist was an interesting choice, and I thought fleshing out the Hand was definitely interesting. She did a great job with what Defenders was given. I only wish she had a bit more of a Defenders. That being said, I still love Elektra and the role she had in this season. Wish that The Punisher showed up and joined the team. The characters, all remain Defenders great as they were in their own shows and manage to Defenders the same. The blending of these 4 characters and their worlds was something that is no small feat. I found it to be a success in that regard. In the first Defenders, using Red lighting for Daredevil scenes, purple for Jessica, green for Iron Fist and yellow for Defenders Cage was something that only added to the atmosphere of the show. I loved it. Looking at the series overall, it is very enjoyable. There are not many episodes, so it Defenders feel overlong. Personally, I found the start of the series the first 2 episodesto be very slow, as they Defenders utilized more to check in with each Defenders the 4 main characters. It definitely picks up once the Defenders unites at the headquarters though. The fight scenes, that one specifically, were so fun to watch. That being said, after rewatching the show again recently, I realize that it could've been a lot better. Defenders still find it to be incredibly underrated though. Give this show a watch if you love Marvel. Personally I'd recommend watching Daredevil seasons Defenders and 2 first. Maybe Iron Fist season 1 too. Otherwise, you can use this series as an introduction to the other 3 characters, and then go watch their shows from there. My Rating: Defenders. Looking for some great streaming picks? Sales of comic books actually increased during the Second World War. Service men and women needed such stories of bravery and triumph as an inspiration, to which they could also escape. Comics were portable, easy to share and inexpensive. The Golden Age of Comics began during the Great Depression, and it’s perhaps no coincidence that the game-changing movie for our current generation of superheroes, Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, was released in 2008—the same year that saw the worst global economic crisis since the 1930s. We needed a hero; 2008 also happened to be the year that President Obama was first elected into office. The Dark Knight paved the way for the superhero shows and movies we’re still watching, a decade later. Of course, it wasn’t the first edgy, darker iteration of !1 the comic book superhero—Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man series and Tim Burton’s version of Batman had started to push the boundaries, together with the X-Men franchise, which focuses on the persecution and genocide of minority “mutant” superheroes. But it is Nolan’s Bruce Wayne/Batman (Christian Bale) who crosses that line: he’s not just heroic but deeply flawed.

Anticipation had built up since Mike Colter appeared as Luke Cage on Jessica Jones in the Marvel shared universe. So much so, Netflix servers couldn't handle the workload. The streaming service went down for hours on Saturday, leaving viewers to watch regular cable, like animals! So just what was so exciting enough about Luke Cage that broke the internet? http://gty.im/120347526 Mike Colter as Luke Cage: Mike Colter is everything you’d expect out of our title character. He’s got the size to pull off the tough guy roll. However, it’s his acting ability that carries the character. Too many times shows cast a muscle-bound actor who has limited acting ability and the character suffers. Luke Cage is a vigilante of the people and to go that route would’ve doomed the show. Not only is Colter’s version of Cage believable, but he also manages to make him likable and relatable. A character with no powers to show than super strength, Colter had the challenge of bringing the character to life without the awe of devices like Mjölnir or Captain America’s shield. Cornell Stokes is the smooth talking, get anything he wants, then snap the next moment, kind of guy.
