He came to Lenoir from Charlotte where he was associate pastor of Myers Park Baptist Church. The resignation was read by Rev. Mr. Trainham following Sunday morning services. Paul H. Broyhill, chairman of the church's board of deacons, announced at the service that Rev. Trainham would be avail• able for pastoral service to the congregation for the next sev• eral months until his future plans had been determined.
