Klimas Wkręt-met machinery park now boasts equipment for the 100 percent control of our screws. The new optic equipment makes it possible to control the whole product batch after it has been manufactured and before it is packed. The parameters checked include length, body diameter, thread diameter, head size, quality of the drive, pitch and thread length, tip and others. Screws which successfully pass the control procedure are sent to be packed whereas those which do not comply with the standard are rejected.

Our company is set on continuous improvement of its production control processes at each stage of manufacture. We wish to provide our customers with services of the highest-possible standard. To achieve that we have implemented the Quality Man- agement System and have held the ISO 9001:2008 standard for a number of years now. Satisfying the standard requirements is continuously verified by both internal and external audits, which prove our successful operation at each stage of activity.

We have started a high-tech quality-control laboratory to ensure the highest quality of the products on offer. Our laboratory is equipped with measuring microscope, X-ray spectrometer, salt spray chamber, load capacity testing machine, Vickers microhardness tester, Rockwell hardness tester, torque converters, permascope and a number of other equipment, which allow us to:

• check and control paint and zinc coat thickness; • check resistance of protective coating to highly corrosive environments; • check hardness of the screw surface and body, thickness of carburized layer; • compute the torque required for a given screw to be driven in; • test the pull-out strength; • compute rigidity of the support washer; • calculate the time needed to drive in a self-driving screw; and many others.

Drywall systems are modern technologies used mainly for interior 1 finish of building structures. System applications include partitions, suspended ceilings, attic finish, flooring, utility fixture encasements, and sometimes building facades.

Drywall system components include: 1 gypsum plasterboards 2 gypsum fibre boards 2 3 cement boards

Drywall interior systems are used in various utility buildings, including office buildings, hotels, schools, trade centres, sports centres as well as residential applications. For interiors that have to withstand the rigours of daily use, plasterboards are commonly used while in rooms exposed to moisture (bathrooms, kitchens, rooms with high 3 moisture content) gypsum fibre boards are applied, as their compo- sition and physical properties ensure increased mechanical strength and moisture resistance.

Filling of cracks and crevices in walls and ceilings. Suitable for finishing of interior corners in drywall systems and filling of gaps between door frames and walls. Use for elastic joining of walls and ceilings with decorative elements as well as sealing of window and door frames.

EN-Short-term frost resistance - maximum of 10 days in temperature down to -18°C. Resistant to freeze/thaw in 7 cycles at temperatures between -18 and +23°C where a cycle lasts 48 hours (24 hours at -18°C and 24 hours at +23°C).
