For this reason it corresponds strictly to the text of Manitoba Hansard. FORMAT The index is in two sections: (I) combined Member /Subject index, and (2) appendices. Member /Subject index: Main entry in this section is a subject or personal name heading which may be subdivided. Following the main entry are secondary headings, "see" and "see also" references, and a listing of individuals who spoke on that subject. Appendices: Included in this section is a complete listing of Oral Questions by department, Bills, Members of the Executive Council, and Chairmen of Standing and Special Committees. FILING ARRANGEMENT The basic filing principle is alphabetical, letter by letter. The sequence is as follows: a) numbers file at the beginning of the alphabet, if they are the first word in the filing element; b) initials separated by punctuation, abbreviations, acronyms without interior punctuation are filed at the beginning of their alphabetic group.
