Annual Golden Globe Awards 1. Have you always wanted to be an actor and when did you decide that was what you wanted to be? No, I was about 17 when I got a summer job working back stage at a theatre and really liked the people I got to work with. It was the creative people in the industry that I first really enjoyed being around and got me into it. 2. Did anyone inspire you to become an actor? I had a great drama teacher at school who went to a drama school in London called LAMDA – and that’s where I decided I wanted to go after school too. 3. How do you get into character on set? I spend a lot of time preparing before filming starts, usually I take my script on long walks and do a lot trying out different ideas on my own – then when I get to set I use music a lot to stay focused and I often make playlists for the characters I play.
