NSW Common Planning Assumptions Common Planning Assumptions are used across agencies to ensure alignment and understanding of the relevant data, policies and assumptions to underpin planning decisions and policy analysis for government strategies and investment decisions. This supports consistency in the advice provided to Government and the community. The Common Planning Assumptions represent a consistent baseline or a starting point, and are developed based on current and past trends and agreed policies and plans.
