Hello all,

I hope that you all had a great half term. The weather was fantastic wasn’t it?

As it is a new half term, our topic has now changed. I think you all did extremely well on the last topic and worked so hard. Let’s see if we can continue with this greatness for our next project. The topic has changed to Gods and Mortals, all about Greek myths. Another project that I’m sure you will all enjoy!

Learning Project – Gods and Mortals – to be done throughout the week

Art – Start to create your own 3D head of a Greek God. Use whatever is available to you to create your head. Some of you may have visited the Ashmolean in Oxford and seen the Greek head statues there. If not, or you want to refresh your memory, then google – Ashmolean Greek Head Statues.

History – Order events and dates from ancient Greek history on a timeline. Place and date significant events and people such as the first , the first Persian war and the Battle of Marathon, the Peloponnesian Wars, the reign and death of Alexander the Great, the discovery of displacement by Archimedes, the invasion of the Romans and the end of the city states, Athens and Macedon.
