Over at the Potteries Museum in Stoke, audiences enjoy meeting Ozzie, an owl slipware jug around 350 years old who charmed Henry Sandon on BBC television’s Antiques Roadshow.

At Worcester City Art Gallery & Museum, a luscious landscape painting by Benjamin Williams Leader of the River Severn, gazing out to the Malvern Hills, takes pride of place over the grand staircase.
