Mission of Heaven The Mission of Heaven is a non-profit missionary organization that operates in the Amazon region, mainly in the area of logistics and missionary cooperation projects. It is a mission of support to other partner organizations, with the common purpose of bringing the gospel to people who live in the most isolated places in the Amazon.

Presentation The State of Amazonas is living a delicate and chaotic situation in public health. Due to the new wave of Covid-19 cases throughout the state, the lack of inputs such as oxygen, medicines, and protective materials has become a worldwide issue. In order to contribute to the extremely vulnerable populations in Amazonas, the Mission of Heaven launched the SOS Amazonas - Flight Operations Campaign with the main objective of providing Oxygen Cylinders transportation to the interiors of the state, as well as support to the Aeromedical ICUs, according to resource availability.

Motivation General Objective: To enable the transport of Oxygen Cylinders to the interiors of the state and to support the logistics of people who are in an emergency state and need to be removed via the Aeromedical ICU with urgency from their municipalities/communities to locations with better resources available for treatment. Specific Objectives:

✓ To enable air transportation and availability of oxygen cylinders at public hospitals in and adjacent municipals. From Parintins, fluvial transportation will be made possible by the municipalities or partner organizations, reaching the cities of Nhamundá, and ; Associação Missão do Céu – Rua Cachoeira do Urubuí, 436, , AM, 69098-446 www.missaodoceu.org.br [email protected] +55 (92) 99340-6612 Associação Missão do Céu

✓ Enable flights to Santarem in order to recharge the oxygen cylinders and take them back to Parintins for distribution among the other municipalities reached; ✓ To establish partnerships with organizations and churches to acquire the cylinders, recharge and distribute them in the interior of the Amazon; ✓ Organize, along with partners and volunteers, the logistic part for the distribution of the oxygen cylinders; ✓ To raise resources and donations to make viable the transport of patients in aircrafts (Aeromedical ICUs) prepared to take them to other locations better structured for the treatment of Covid-19.

Methodology The Mission of Heaven is one of the responsible for the project and publicity campaign through social media and the hotsite (https://missaodoceu.org.br/sosamazonas/). Together with its partners, MDC (Mission of Heaven) has made available its crew and team of volunteers, as well as part of its financial resources reallocated in the budget to meet the emergency demands. Support groups have been organized by the Mission of Heaven both in the operation of flights and in the distribution and organization of oxygen cylinder shipments to the interior of the Amazon.

• Pr. Brilhante - (Nhamundá)

“Thank you very much for the service and availability of bringing the cylinders to Nhamundá. They would not arrive in time if they came by river and until then, we had no other option. When the hospital came to me, there was a lady in a very serious condition and because of the cylinders coming through the plane, by God's grace and mercy we were able to help her and consequently save another life".
