The program is sponsored by the Program Counci I of the Associated Students of UM. Appearing with "F Ieetwood Mac" wi I I be members of "Unicorn,'' a group of Co I umb i a recording artists produced by England's "Pink Floyd." Members of "Fleetwood Mac'' are: Mick Fleetwood, drummer; John McVie, bass; Christine McVie, pianist and vocalist; Bob Welch, guitarist; and Doug Bray, organist. Eight albums by "Fleetwood Mac" have sold more than 200,000 copies each. Tickets to Sunday's performance are $3.50 forUM students and $4.50 for general admission now, but there wi I I be an increase of $1 at the door before the show. Tickets are avai !able in Missoula at the University Center Ticket Office, Team Electronics and the Missoula Mercantile Record Shop. Tickets also may be purchased at JaVees in Kal ispel I, Import Depot in Great Fa I Is and at the Opera House in Helena. ## .

o R M D EVERY MUSICIAN KNOWS IT’s THE RHYTHM SECTION THAT HOLDS a band together. But who knew we’d find as durable an application of that maxim as the one exemplified by the history of Fleetwood Mac? & Over the last thirty years, Fleetwood Mac has comprised fifteen musicians shuffled through six major lineups, resulting in endless tin- kerings with tone and genre. Yet the two members to survive it all rarely write tunes and never front the recordings. They’re the beat- keepers - drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John Me Vie. The fact that a rhythm section could sustain a band through thirty years seems all the more amazing considering the traumatic histories of the band’s shifting array o f stage-front stars. Near the top of a winding one-lane road cut into a ruddy hillside, a shady driveway dips beneath a canopy of trees to reveal a spread that—minus the citrus groves—looks more like an English country home than a tropical retreat. Clouds that seem but an arm’s length away cast moody shadows over the homestead, giving the sense that this place is half a world from the sun- lit valley below. Lovely bushes of pink and blue flowers abuzz with bees line the roundabout that lies before the front door.
