The Student Caucus (as the representative student component of Senate) is inviting letters of application from interested members of the student community, stating in 500 words (or less) the reasons for wanting to be on the search committee, related experience, and other pertinent information. Report of the Senate Executive Committee concerning procedures for the Search for a new President Due to space limitation, tickets must be obtained from Room S945, the Ross Building. - continued GENERAL * Afternoon tea will be available in the Faculty Lounge of the Ross Building every TUesday between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. The President hopes members of the York Community will join him there. * "Vibrations from the Electronic and Percussion Studios", a series of six free concerts sponsored by York's Faculty of Fine Arts, Program in Music, will be presented March 16, 17 and 18 in the Junior Common Room of Stong College. Two concerts will be given on each of these evenings from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. - 11:00p.m. The programs are as follows: Friday, March 16 Anthony Sheppard and Haraldur Edgardsson Saturday, March 17 Gunther Steudel ~nd Robin Engelman Sunday, March 18 The Studio of David Rosenboom * Dr. Philip Moding of Malmo, Sweden, Director of Regional Planning for Southern Sweden, will visit the York campus during the period of March 6 - 16. Dr. Moding, formerly a Professor at Lund University, is the author of important books and articles on regional planning. On March 12, at 4:00 p.m. he will present a lecture on "Planning and Public Administration in Sweden" in the Senate Chamber (S9l5) of the Ross Building. Individual . appointments with Dr. Moding may be arranged through Professor Richman (3033) or Professor Alex Murray (3013). Dr. Moding's visit is sponsored by the Faculties of Administrative Studies and Environmental Studies. * The Centre for Continuing Education at York is once again offering a workshop on "Management for Realtors". The workshop, taking place from March 4 - 9, will be a learning experience of discussions, role playing, group activities, all designed to involve participants in learning together. Topics covered will include the managerial role, communications, motivation, leadership styles, objective settings and group problem solving. For further information call the Centre at local 2524. * The tenth seminar in the University of Toronto-York University Joint Program in Transportation will take place on Thursday, March 15 at 3:00 p.m. in Room S872, the Ross Building. Professor George W. Hilton, University of California (Los Angeles) will speak on "The Ability of Rail Transit to Relieve Traffic Congestion". Professor Hilton is a well-known American transport economist and historian. He is keenly interested in transportation developments in Toronto and Montreal, and has recently been studying the efforts of the United States federal government's Urban Mass Transportation Assistance Program. All interested members of the York community are invited to attend. * The fourth and final lecture in the 1972-73 ANNUAL LECTURE SERIES will be held on Wednesday, March 14 at 5:00 p.m. in the Moot Court Room of the Osgoode Hall Law School. Professor Arthur S. Miller, National Law Centre, George Washington University, will give a speech entitled "Privacy in the Corporate State -A Constitutional Value of Dwindling Significance".
