SAFARI RANGERS One of our experienced Rangers will join you on your coach during your trip around the Safari Drive- through to ensure that your experience is as informative and engaging as possible. West Midland (WMSP) is part of the British and Irish Association of and Aquariums (BIAZA) and we work together to continually improve our excellent education, animal welfare, research and conservation contribution. We are home to over 120 different species, many of which are threatened in the wild. We participate in over 25 managed breeding programmes and therefore we help to create genetically healthy captive populations. These act as a back-up to wild populations and ambassadors for the species. This includes species such as the , African , Rothschild’s , Sumatran , and white rhino. We have our own charity, the ‘Namibian Wildlife Conservation Trust’, which raises funds to enable valuable research to be undertaken at the Ongava Research Centre in Namibia. EYFS, KS1 AND KS2 Buckle up and hold on tight, we're going on safari! Discover how fast a can run, the unique way in which wild dogs hunt and how long a giraffe’s tongue is as your coach takes you around our four-mile drive-through. One of our knowledgable guides will join you on your coach to personalise your experience by sharing amazing stories and pointing out individual animals for the children to spot. KS3, KS4 AND FE Our four-mile Safari Drive-through is home to over 25 different species of animal, many of which are endangered in the wild.
