Aeroporto do Rio de Janeiro - Santos Dumont ........... 62 Rio de Janeiro Airport - Santos Dumont Anuário Brasileiro de Serviços Auxiliares de Transporte Aéreo Brazilian Yearbook of Ground Handling Services A ABESATA The ABESATA Fundada no dia 7 de agosto e lançada oficialmente no dia 29 de outubro de 2013, a ABESATA – Associação Brasileira das Empresas de Serviços Auxiliares de Transporte Aéreo surgiu da necessidade de se constituir uma entidade capaz de reunir forças e aspirações das empresas do setor, a fim de que busquem a representatividade de um segmento essencial para a aviação no país junto ao Poder Público e à iniciativa privada. Atualmente, com oito empresas associadas, a ABESATA tem por objetivo fomentar a elevação da qualidade dos serviços prestados e viabilizar o crescimento do transporte aéreo no Brasil. Segundo seu Estatuto Social, a associação opera com a finalidade de: a) realizar seminários e cursos, elaborar estudos e planos e congregar técnicas, bem como executar ações necessárias para estimular e orientar as suas associadas na prática de atividades dentro da legislação vigente; b) representar as associadas judicial ou extrajudicialmente, independentemente de mandato, perante pessoas jurídicas de direito público e de direito privado, inclusive frente a associações congêneres no país e no exterior, ficando autorizada a impetrar mandado de segurança e promover quaisquer ações que visem proteger os interesses coletivos e homogêneos das associadas junto aos órgãos competentes, assim como participar, como assistente, de demandas em que esses interesses estejam em discussão; c) agir institucionalmente, divulgar a importância e a prática da ESATA em seu elevado interesse individual e coletivo, com o fito do mais amplo conhecimento e progresso da aviação civil brasileira em geral. Para tanto, no cumprimento de suas finalidades associativas, adota um código de ética que é regido, entre outros, pelos princípios da moralidade, publicidade, legalidade e eficiência. Founded on August 7, 2013 and officially launched three months later on Octuber 29, ABESATA – Brazilian Ground Handling Services Association, arose from the need to establish an entity able to unite the strength and aspirations of such companies in order to pursue representation both before the Government and the private sector of a segment essential to the country's aviation. Currently, with eight member companies, ABESATA aims to promote improvement of the quality of the services provided, and enable the growth of air transport in Brazil. In accordance with its charter, the association strives to: a) organize courses and seminars, elaborate plans and studies and bring together techniques, as well as taking actions needed to encourage and guide its members in practicing activities in accordance with the legislation in force; b) represent its associates in court or out, regardless of power of attorney, before public and private legal entities, including before similar associations in this country and abroad, being allowed to petition for restraining orders and to take actions that

Fortes3 ABSTRACT The Brazilian government stepped up investments in works related to improving access to cities, when it was announced as the venue for the 2014 Football World Cup. The difficulties observed to guide these investments were to select regional airports of greater relevance for the tourism sector. Given the unavailability of data that could serve this purpose, the present study sought to define, from secondary and qualitative information extracted from government documents, five indicators to allow a priority hierarchical. The methodology applied the hierarchical analysis method (AHP) and standardization procedures, resulting in the selection of five airports in the North region, four airports in the Southeast, South and Northeast regions, and one in the Center-West region of Brazil. The main advantage of the methodology was the significant reduction of cost and time in the decision-making process. An important conclusion was the understanding of tourism as an option for regional economic diversification. Keywords: Regional Airport, Analytic Hierarchical Process (AHP), Tourism, Development. JEL Classification: O180, R4, R580 1. INTRODUCTION The significant increase in domestic and international demand for air transport services has been an outstanding issue over the last ten years. Deregulation of services planning and air fares and increased concern for time-saving have produced controversial effects such as the concentration of services offers in airports with greater demand and more operational infrastructure. The effects stemming from the deregulation model, which has already been applied in many countries, have to some extent stimulated competition on the most profitable routes and in some cases fares have come down.

    ESTABLISHING A COMMERCIAL AIR ROUTE BASED ON MORE THAN JUST TECHNICAL VARIABLES: THE CASE OF BARRETOS CITY, BRAZIL Mauro Caetano Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA) Cláudio Jorge Pinto Alves Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA) ABSTRACT The city of Barretos in Brazil has the largest cancer treatment center in Latin America, the Barretos Hospital of Cancer (HCB). The hospital provides medical care to about 4,000 daily. These patients come from about 1,600 cities, approximately 30% of the cities in Brazil. In terms of demand and initial structural conditions, Barretos is qualified to receive commercial flights, however, there are no regular flights to the city. Theoretical propositions are made on corporate social responsibility disregard nontechnical variables related to air transport operations, including the value of human life. The results of the present case study on the city of Barretos, with reference to the HCB, show the existence of initial favorable airport conditions for the implementation of a commercial airline in the city, such as runway extension, for example. Additionally, there are initiatives in the mobilization of public opinion, such as the Flight Against Cancer campaign, which can guide the adoption of nontechnical variables toward establishing a commercial airline in the city based on the value of human life and the reduction of human suffering. Managerial implications are presented, such as the redefinition of the metrics used in corporate social responsibility, the availability of public and private grants sharing agendas alternating between airlines and the establishment of a regional multimodal logistics platform. The main goal of this study was to identify important factors that account for the great variability (demand) of regional hubsof the airport modal system in operation in the State of São Paulo, the most populated and industrialized in the Southeast region in Brazil. For this purpose, datasets for each airport related to passengers or cargo flow were obtained from time series data in the period ranging from January 01, 2008 to December 31, 2014. Different data analysis approaches could imply in better mapping of the flow of the air modal system from the evaluation of some factors related to operations/volume.
