Molly Andrews Dakota Student The University of North Dakota is filled with opportunities for involve- ment. Whether is be in the Grand Forks Communi- ty or beyond, students are able to experience and in- dulge in different commu- nities. One way that this can be possible, is through the different clubs and or- ganizations on campus. One organization on campus that is connect- ing borders globally is En- gineers Without Borders. EWB has been on campus since 2016 and was made possible by the hard work of many different students. The overall mission of this organization is simply along the lines of empow- ering communities to meet their basic human needs and equip new leaders to solve the world’s most pressing challenges. The current President of EWB at UND is Jonathan Wirkkala. He is an electri- cal engineering major.
