We report the aquatic Coleoptera (families Dryopidae, Dytiscidae, Georissidae, 10th June 2019 Gyrinidae, Heteroceridae, Hydraenidae, Hydrophilidae and Limnichidae) from North Oman, Published online: mostly based on the captures of fourteen localities sampled by the authors in 2010. Four 24th June 2019 species are described as new, all from the Al Hajar mountains, three in family Hydraenidae, Hydraena (Hydraena) naja sp. nov., Ochthebius (Ochthebius) alhajarensis sp. nov. (O. punc- tatus species group) and O. (O.) bernard sp. nov. (O. metallescens species group); and one in family Hydrophilidae, Agraphydrus elongatus sp. nov. Three of the recorded species are new to the Arabian Peninsula, Hydroglyphus farquharensis (Scott, 1912) (Dytiscidae), Hydraena (Hydraenopsis) quadricollis Wollaston, 1864 (Hydraenidae) and Enochrus (Lumetus) cf. quadrinotatus (Guillebeau, 1896) (Hydrophilidae). St::ttns of 15 Antioch Insects Listed in Notice of 75 Review by the U.S. Fish "l.nd Wildlife Service INTRODUCTION The sand dune formation east of Antioch, Contra Costa County, California, comprised the largest riverine dune system in California. Biogeographically, this formation was unique because it supported a northern extension of plants and animals of desert, rather than coastal, affinities. Geologists believe that the dunes were relicts of the most recent glaciation of the Sierra Nevada, probably originating 10,000 to 25,000 years ago, with the sand derived from the supratidal floodplain of the combined Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers. The ice age climate in the area is thought to have been cold but arid. Presumably summertime winds sweeping through the Carquinez Strait across the glacial-age floodplains would have picked up the fine-grained sand and redeposited it to the east and southeast, thus creating the dune fields of eastern Contra Costa County. -

Overnight or day use activities for recreational enjoyment by the public may be provided to the extent that there is not impariment of the natural values inherent to the site. The prime recreational values relate to the forest situation and to the South Fork Eel River. 09/1975 - Interpretive Perspectus - Division Approved The purpose of Admiral William Standley State Recreation Area is to make available to the people forever, for their use and enjoyment, a beautiful grove of Coast Redwoods and associated plant and animal life, enhanced by the South Fork of the Eel River in the vicinity of Mud Creek in northern Mendocino County. Until the present times in the terri tory of the Byelorussian Polesye 2107 speeies belonging to 87 famili es out of whieh 2 19 speeies are found out only are known [I]. MATERlAL AND METHODS This researeh is an investigation of fauna (1975-2000 years), earried out in the territory of Byelorussia and the Bryansk distriet of Russia.
