This time 10 years ago Maryborough hosted its first Relay for Life event. Hosted at Princes Park over April 9 and 10 in 2010, the event attracted 760 participants — at that time almost 10 percent of Maryboroughʼs population — and raised over $50,000 for the Cancer Council. Relay for Life has gone on to become a big part of the community and this year over February 28 and 29 it once again raised over $50,000, despite just under 200 participants taking part.
