Installing EverQuest ® II Follow these steps and the setup prompts to install. 1. Insert the “EverQuest II ” disc into your DVD-ROM drive. If the disc does not automatically play, open “My Computer” and double-click on your DVD-ROM drive. Double-click the “The Shadow Odyssey” icon. 2. Follow the prompts through the setup process. 3. When installation is complete, run EverQuest II by double-clicking the “EverQuest II ” icon on your desktop. Playing EverQuest II Follow these steps to get started playing. Step 1: Create a Character Click the “Create Character” button to begin. • Pick your gender (male or female) and your race from the 19 choices you have available by clicking on the portrait. Click “Next” in the lower right of the screen. • Customize your appearance by clicking physical features and using the sliders and color palettes to fine-tune. Use the “Randomize” and “Randomize All” buttons to have the computer generate a look. Click “Next” when you are finished. • Choose your starting city and click “Next.” • Pick your class from the 24 choices available by clicking the class portrait, and then click “Next.” • Enter your character’s name in the field. Do not pick inappropriate or offensive names. If you need help with a name, click the “Random Name” button. If the name you choose has already been taken or is inappropriate, you will be asked to choose a different name.
