8│ Robert Burton Winner of the Young Performers 2014

Robert Burton is 15 and attends Hinchingbrooke School in Huntingdon. He started his love of music playing recorder at primary school and then moved onto the saxophone when he was 9 years old. At the age of 11 Robert did his first busk in Cambridge! He finds everyone so friendly and busking has helped his confidence with performing. He was thrilled at winning the Best Young Performer category at last year’s Buskers Festival and when he is not playing he loves to watch other performers. Robert attends the Junior Guildhall School of Music in London every Saturday playing alto, tenor and soprano saxophones and, this year, won a place in the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Great Britain. He hopes to make music his future career.

Tom Korni Winner of the Adult Musicians 2014

16 year old Tom Korni "The One Boy Band" was the winner of the Adult category in the Cambridge Buskers and Street Performers festival in 2014. Since winning the competition he has continued to busk in Cambridgeshire and neighbouring counties as well as performing on stage at Silverstone and The Troxy in London. He performed at a private function for the East-Anglian Air Ambulance at the Elveden Estate with Lord Iveagh. Recently, Tom had the opportunity to showcase his own compositions in his own gig at The Stables, Wavendon. He performed to a sold out audience and the night was a huge success. Over the last year, Tom has appeared on many radio stations talking about his music and his aspirations. He has also played at many weddings, corporate events and has supported many charities. He will be performing at Camp Bestival, Lulworth Castle Dorset and Bestival, Isle of Wight later this year. www.tomkorni.com │9 h o m e e o h f t l i
