In existence since 1913, IFFCBANO is a professional association comprised of licensed international freight forwarders, licensed custom brokers and transportation service providers located in the Southeastern United States with expertise in about providing international transportation services nationwide. Working closely with all U.S. government agencies involved in international shipping the Association works to ensure the rights and interests of importers, exporters and members are protected. As an affiliate of the National Custom Brokers us and Freight Forwarders Association (NCBFAA), our members work in conjunction with our national leaders in Washington to ensure the impact of new trade legislation on the trade community is positive. Actively promoting the advantages of shipping through the New Orleans area since 1988, IFFCBANO works in conjunction and coordination with regional trade associations and industry partners to develop new economic opportunities for the community and its membership. Working together to expand educational opportunities and trade development efforts, IFFCBANO and our member firms are poised to capitalize on the emerging opportunities in the Gulf region. We look forward to another year of servicing the international trade community and our membership.

2 2017 IFFCBANO Membership Directory letter from the president Dear Friends and Members, Another year has passed and more changes and challenges have affected our industry. In 2016, IFFCBANO officers, directors, and members worked together to advance the mission of IFFCBANO. Hazmat training sessions were held to educate and certify our members. In partnership with the local Ports, USEAC, CBP, and Regional Planning Commission, IFFCBANO members participate in meetings to educate members of the trade on issues affecting not only our industry but that of our customers. In September 2016 both members and officers of IFFCBANO traveled to Washington D.C for the NCBFAA’s Government Affairs Conference. Although the impending election and a lame duck Congress kept the issues lighter than usual, the Louisiana delegation spent the day on Capitol Hill educating our Senators and Representatives on Port Congestion, Dredging, and funding for ACE completion. We look forward to returning to DC in September 2017 and hope more members will join us on Capitol Hill. Beginning in 2016, IFFCBANO has been working with the New Orleans Board of Trade’s New Orleans Public Belt User group to educate the NOPB Commissioners, New Orleans City Council, and the Mayor that selling or leasing the NOPB to a private operator is bad for New Orleans, the Port and the NOPB Customers. The NOPB needs to remain status quo and continue operating as a neutral service provider for the City of New Orleans. The year is just beginning but IFFCBANO is already planning for an eventful 2017. IFFCBANO’s flagship event, the 39th Annual International Trade Symposium, is being held June 1st through the 4th at the beautiful Marriott Grand Hotel and Resort in Point Clear, Alabama. Focusing on “Ensuring Your Supply Chain is Not a Chain of Fools”, our program committee has been diligently working on putting together a quality program that will appeal to both members and associate members. We will wrap up the year with the Annual State of the Port address on November 9th featuring Brandy Christian, President and CEO for the Port of New Orleans. I look forward to seeing you at all of these events. Details can be found at www.iffcbano.org. In closing, I hope that you will find the 2017 Membership Directory a resourceful tool and I look forward to working with all of you over the next year. All the best,

Kristiann App| President

COMMUNITY Triumph Over Kid Cancer Foundation

Dear IFFCBANO Friends, Founders The Triumph Over Kid Cancer Foundation arose out of the efforts of 13 year old cancer patient James A. Ragan James Ragan and his sister, Mecklin. Founded in 2010, its first success was to leverage James’ close 5/7/93 – 2/17/14 relationship to M.D. Anderson (for which he had done much work on cancer fundraising and Mecklin V. Ragan awareness) to get an agreement that they would match dollar for dollar the funds TOKC raised. As a Board Members result of that agreement, TOKC started funding its first project, the Children’s Sarcoma Initiative, to Omar Abou-Sayed stimulate new research into pediatric cancers. After reaching its commitment of raising 1.5 million Cynthia Coffman dollars (for a combined 3 million dollars with MDA’s matching funds) TOKC started its current Coy T. Dobson John W. Hennessey II project in 2014. It was barely a month after James’ death that, after meeting with M.D. Anderson, Michelle Hennessey TOKC embarked on a new project to make James’ greatest dream - that pediatric cancer would Charles A. Hicks stop with him - a reality. That project was to raise 1.5 million dollars (matched dollar for dollar by Catherine Tobin Hilliard M.D. Anderson due to the importance of the research) to create the first longitudinal whole genome Kathryn T. Wiedorn sequencing project aimed at understanding the causes and genetic mutations of pediatric cancers - 723 Coleman Avenue GRASP - the Genomic Research and Sequencing Project - for pediatrics. Although TOKC’s first Corpus Christi, Texas 78401 project in 2010 - the Children’s Sarcoma Initiative - took a little over 4 years to fund, because of your hard work and overwhelming generosity, we expect to complete the GRASP project commitment (361) 883-8652 of 1.5 million dollars (also matched by MDA) this year. So please know that everything you have Triumph Over Kid Cancer done - from donations, to lemonade stands, to hosting races, to hosting parties (the list is endless and Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) increases every month) - has made this rapid progression of the GRASP project a reality. And the non profit Organization importance of this accomplishment cannot be overstated. The funding of this project was specifically www.triumphoverkidcancer.org requested by M. D. Anderson because one of the hurdles to curing pediatric cancer is a lack of detailed understanding of the causes of pediatric cancers and the ways in which they mutate over time. The GRASP project will provide researchers with the data they need to understand these diseases that regularly destroy American families and rob us of kids like James. Researchers believe that, after nearly 5 decades of stagnation in pediatric cancer treatment, this increased understanding will be the key they need to make meaningful advances in treatment. And it is all due to your efforts. James was always amazed at the things people could accomplish if they ignored impossibilities and simply worked at the problem with a cheerful spirit, and he would be amazed and proud of the things we are accomplishing each day. Thank you.
