Dear Chamber Members and Community Leaders hat an exciting time to live and work in New Orleans! Our business climate, entrepreneurship and small Wbusinesses continue to set national standards and top rankings. Our Chamber is 1,300 members strong and comprised of large, mid-size and small businesses. These businesses, led by women and men, represent all ethnicities and are laser focused on excellence in their industry. The growth of the Chamber is a direct result of listening to and engaging our members in how we can serve them best. We will continue to focus on three key areas: • Connect members with leadership roles and networking to grow business opportunities • Build the capacity of entrepreneurs and small businesses to succeed and grow • Improve the business environment through public policy and advocacy The Chamber’s 2017 Membership Survey conducted by MDRG - Market Dynamics Research Group reported that: “Chamber members are most satisfied with event opportunities/networking, the frequency of Chamber communications, and the Chamber’s professional staff of six.” The Chamber’s board and staff have a single focus of meeting and exceeding members’ expectations! We gratefully acknowledge and thank Stephen Caputo, Hotel Manager of The Hotel Monteleone, for his vision and leadership as the Chamber’s Chairman for 2016. Throughout his term as Chairman, Stephen’s focus was always on the Chamber’s members and how we could add value to their membership. Stephen’s transparent leadership and active engagement of the board of directors has raised the New Orleans Chamber to a new level of success for our members. The New Orleans Chamber believes that it is our City’s time to realize our full potential as one of America’s great cities in which to live and work. Your trust is honored and respected. We look forward to boldly addressing the greatest challenges and opportunities before us to drive economic prosperity in this community. Melissa A. Gibbs G.
