Just over 100 years ago our founder, Thomas Arthur Leonard, created an organisation with a simple mission – to get people into the great outdoors. We’ve been doing this ever since. From simple beginnings, we’ve expanded our range of destinations and today over 60,000 guests trust us with their holiday every year. We’re proud to remain a co-operative society, which means we are owned by our 37,000 members with no corporate shareholders.

For the past century we’ve made it our mission to provide shared holiday experiences that inspire friendship, fun and an active enjoyment of the great outdoors. We believe that among the things which matter most in today’s busy world are an appreciation of nature, a love of the open air, and the joy of fellowship with one a stroll another. We’ve built a reputation as the UK’s leading provider of guided walking holidays, THROUGH TIME with a focus on great locations, experienced leaders and exciting itineraries.

In 2019 we’ll be celebrating: HF Holidays has a proud history spanning over 100 years. During a century of changes, the ethos at the heart of 90 YEARS our holidays has remained the same as it was in 1913 – OF HOLIDAYS AT GLEN COE exceptional walking experiences in beautiful locations.
