In connection with this, Atkins has conducted a global market screening in order to clarify potential future suppliers of electric trains. The market screening resulted in a report indicating which trains fulfil the requirements and which trains do not. Atkins in the UK has already done fundamental investigations into this area of rolling stock; however, with this market screening, conducted from a Danish perspective, Atkins in Denmark continues to develop our knowledge within rolling stock. As part of this, the signalling system was to be replaced by a new system of type Cst, which Södertälje is also applied to Stockholm Central Station.
