Chanel West Coast gained prominence as a rapper, singer, songwriter, actress, model, and television personality. Born to a DJ father, the love for music came naturally. As such, from an early age, Chanel aimed to make her mark in the field of entertainment. She found fame on MTV’s Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory and became a major, positively recepted star on the show throughout its seven season run. In 2009, she began recording music by collaborating with numerous artists. Her early projects include the song “Melting Like Ice Cream” with Tiffanie Anderson, “Tramp” with rapper Somaya Reece and “PHAMOUS” with Midi Maia. She later signed to Lil Wayne’s label Young Money Entertainment, releasing her mixtape Now You Know featuring Evan Ross, French Montana, Snoop Dogg and Robin Thicke. She also joined her label family on the compilation album Young Money: Rise of An Empire, which debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200 chart, selling more than thirty thousand copies in its first week. She recently put on her director’s hat for her “The Middle” music video and dropped her hit single “Sharon Stoned.” Currently, Chanel is in the studio while also starring in MTV’s “Ridiculous-ness” alongside Rob Dyrdek and Steelo Brim.
