Story and Photos by Jack Hutton "OK/' the director said, "now look, you run over, you get him, boom, you go down, you get up, run back here, boom, you get hit again." The action was taking place at St. Andrews School in Boca Raton as the Paper Lion, 's best selling book was being filmed. The person getting hit was Hollywood actor, Alan Alda who takes the part of Plimpton in the film. The story is based on the true experiences of Plimpton as a quarter-back for the football team during the 1963 season. Due to personnel changes in the Lions club since then, coaches and players have been changed for the movie to up-date it. Several of the Detroit Lions team take part in the filming this week at St. Andrews. , Pat Studstill, Gail Cogdill, , and Mel Farr to name a few.
