The Summer Food Service Program will run from Monday through Friday. The program began June 4 and will run through August 17. The program's goal is to ensure that youth throughout Dallas will not go without proper nutrition during the summer months. Dallas ISD students who attend summer school will receive free breakfasts through the Breakfast in the Classroom program. Approximately 50,000 meals will be prepared for distribution daily. The participating sites will be located at Dallas ISD schools, parks, colleges, churches, and activity centers throughout Dallas. For more information and a list of participating sites, visit the Web sites www.dallasisd.org or www.summerfood.org, or call (214) 932-5500 or 2-1-1. 16th ANNUAL MAYOR’S BACK TO SCHOOL Delegates from Dallas Diocese Attend FAIR SET FOR THURSDAY, AUG. 2 Dallas Independent School District students will receive free school supplies and other services at National Black Catholic Congress XI the 16th Annual Mayor’s Back to School Fair, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, in the Automobile and Centennial buildings at Fair Park, 1010 First Ave. At the free event, thousands of qualifying stu- dents will receive free school supplies and benefit from a variety of vision, dental and health screen- ings, free hair cuts, educational services and offer- ings from community resources. To qualify for free school supplies, children must be between 5 and 18 years old, attend a public school, live in the City of Dallas or attend a Dallas ISD school, and meet Federal Poverty Income guidelines. Families may pre-register for the free supplies at the final pre-fair events set for 4-6 p.m. Friday, July 27, and 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, July 28, at Cobb Field House, 1702 Robert B.
