Delaware looks to con nue the momentum from last year’s sensa onal 25-10 season that included the Blue Hens’ fi rst CAA regular-season and tournament tles and their fi rst NCAA Tournament appearance since 1999.

The Blue Hens face the challenge of replacing four double-digit scorers, but welcome back three-year starter Kyle Anderson in the backcourt. Anderson averaged 11.0 ppg last season and was ed for third in the CAA with 85 three-pointers. He needs just 14 treys to break UD’s career mark of 228. Also returning for UD is junior forward Marvin King-Davis, who made 19 starts last season and tallied 5.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest.

Sophomores Devonne Pinkard, Cazmon Hayes and Barne Harris saw me off the bench last season and should challenge for star ng roles. Pinkard averaged 2.4 ppg and hit 20 of his 26 fi eld goals from three- point range. Hayes (2.0 ppg) and Harris made increased contribu ons as the year progressed. Several freshmen could have an immediate impact, led by guards Kory Holden and Chivarsky Corbe and forward Eric Carter.

Drexel overcame numerous injuries to go 16-14 overall last season and posted a .500 or be er mark in CAA play for the sixth year in a row.

The Dragons lost a pair of all-conference standouts in the backcourt, but also get one back as junior Damion Lee returns to the fl oor a er suff ering a season-ending knee injury last November. Lee was the league’s third-leading scorer (17.1 ppg) in 2012-13 and made the All-CAA second team. Sophomore guard Major Canady (2.1 ppg) started 14 contests during his rookie year and commi ed just 17 turnovers in 479 minutes of ac on. Senior Freddie Wilson (2.6 ppg) also returns in the backcourt.

Hofstra is expected to be among the contenders for a CAA tle in Coach Joe Mihalich’s second season. The Pride returns three of its top four scorers from a year ago and has added several newcomers who are expected to make an immediate impact.

Hofstra’s strength will be in the backcourt. Graduate student Dion Nesmith earned third-team All-CAA honors in his fi rst season with the Pride a er ranking 10th in the league in scoring (13.3 ppg) and second in assists (4.2 apg). Sophomore Jamall Robinson started all 33 games last year and averaged 9.5 ppg and 4.2 rpg to gain a spot on the CAA All-Rookie squad. They will be joined by junior transfer Juan’ya Green, who scored 16.5 ppg and received fi rst-team All-MAAC honors at Niagara in 2012- 13. The Pride has also added Niagara transfer Ameen Tanksley, who scored 11.3 ppg in 2012-13, SMU transfer Brian Bernardi and redshirt freshman Eliel Gonzalez.

Anchoring the post will be senior Moussa Kone, who contributed 7.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and a team-high 37 blocked shots last season. Freshman Rokas Gustys should make an early impact.
