Back to lead the Cougars are senior standouts Anthony S and Adjehi Baru. S , a 6-foot-1 guard, was CofC’s second-leading scorer (10.0 ppg) a year ago and ranked among the top 10 in the CAA in assists (3.1 apg/6th) and steals (1.0 spg/8th). He knocked down a team-high 55 three-pointers. Baru, a 6-foot-9 forward, was selected to the CAA All-Defensive team a er ranking seventh in the conference in rebounding (7.5 rpg) and fourth in blocked shots (1.4 bpg). He also contributed 9.0 points per game while shoo ng be er than 50 percent from the fl oor. Joining S in the backcourt will be sophomores Canyon Barry and Joe Chealey. Barry earned a spot on the CAA All-Rookie team a er scoring 9.3 ppg, while Chealey made 10 starts and contributed 6.9 ppg along with 53 assists. The Blue Hens face the challenge of replacing four double-digit scorers, but welcome back three-year starter Kyle Anderson in the backcourt. Anderson averaged 11.0 ppg last season and was ed for third in the CAA with 85 three-pointers. He needs just 14 treys to break UD’s career mark of 228. Also returning for UD is junior forward Marvin King-Davis, who made 19 starts last season and tallied 5.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest. Sophomores Devonne Pinkard, Cazmon Hayes and Barne Harris saw me off the bench last season and should challenge for star ng roles. Pinkard averaged 2.4 ppg and hit 20 of his 26 fi eld goals from three- point range. Hayes (2.0 ppg) and Harris made increased contribu ons as the year progressed.
