Spencer Lamoreaux, MBA, PMP, PMI­SP, MCP

Spencer currently works for Intel Corporation as the Program Manager for intel.com marketing publications and technology deployments. He previously served in the Program Management Office managing the scheduling capability for the 8,000 person IT organization deploying and managing a suite of tools including Microsoft Project Server 2007, Report Server, and other resource management and planning tools for proper usage and setup for 700+ projects and programs. He has over 11 years in the project management industry at both Intel and Motorola and has spoken at several major events including the PMI Global Congress, Phoenix PMI, and local/global MS Project user group events and has trained over 400 project managers in scheduling. He has consulted or trained in scheduling and project management techniques with Nike, Lockheed Martin, Washington Mutual, Gartner, and many others. He has his PMP, PMI­SP, MBA, B.S. in Information Systems, a Master's certificate in Project Management from George Washington University, and is a certified professional on Microsoft Project and Project Server 2007 (MCP).

James R. Snyder

Mr. Snyder is retired from SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals, now GlaxoSmithKline, where his last assignment was Associate Director of Planning & Business Management, Strategic Product Development. Jim has 37 years experience in the pharmaceutical Industry in computer sciences, operations research, international marketing, marketing administration and finance. He has been involved in developing and implementing business systems as well as using project management skill in a wide variety of international projects since 1964. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management form Georgia and a Master of Business Administration from Drexel University. He served as an officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers from 1961­1963 in the US and Germany.

He is a Founder of Project Management Institute, Fellow of the Institute, past Volunteer Executive Director for 13 years, President, Chairman of the Board, and continues to be an active participant in the activities of the Institute. He has been awarded the PMI Man of the Year Award and is an Honorary Life Member of the Institute.He received the 2010 James J O’Brien Lifetime Achievement Award from the PMI College of Scheduling. Jim is a founding member of the Delaware Valley Chapter of PMI, the Pharmaceuticals Special Interest Group, and the College of Scheduling. As a member of the PMI Global Project Action Team (1999 ­ 2000) he work to help structure the Institute to meet the challenges of 2000 and beyond. He is also a member of the Publications Board of the Institute. The James R. Snyder Knowledge and Wisdom Center at PMI Headquarters is named in his honor. He has served as a member of the PMI Education Foundation Board of Directors and in January of 2006 he was recognized as Chairman Emeritus of the Educational Foundation. The PMIEF Student Paper Award is namen in his honor.. He is now serving as advisor and administrator to the PMI Delaware Valley Chapter.

Jim served as PMI’s Project Manager for the construction of the PMI World Headquarters in Newtown Square, PA. Which was completed and occupied on schedule and on budget and as the Project Manager for the second office building constructed in mid 2000 and occupied in January 2001. He headed the PMI­ DVC education project to teach project management to selected Philadelphia and other area high school students. He has developed, and is leading, programs to implement project management programs in K­12 using project learning techniques to teash 21st century skills and projrct management. In addition to his PMI work, Jim is an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Springfield, PA. He served as manager of the Capital Campaign for Church renovation and expansion and is Chairman of the Endowment Committee. He also serves as Treasurer of the church Nursery School. He has traveled extensively since the early 1970's expanding his interest in new places, fine restaurants, and great wine.

Augustin Purnus, PhD, PMP, General Manager Spider Management Technologies, Romania

General Manager of Spider Management Technologies, Romania, with an extensive experience in Portfolio/Program/Project Management and Cost Engineering gained in more than 25 years as consultant and trainer in the implementation of Project Management System in various companies in Romania, as well as Project Manager in different projects, from construction to IT&C (ERP) projects. Bill Flanagan has been a leader of people and projects for forty years. He began his career with the United States Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Officer followed by thirty years in the nuclear electric utility industry. Brandon Wilson is a Senior Project Control Manager for Faithful + Gould based at the BP Cherry Point Refinery. He has over 12 years of experience in cost control, project planning, scheduling, and portfolio management. Chip Golde, Vice President ARES Software Corporation Chip has 40 years of experience in project management working as an estimator, cost engineer, scheduler, project controls manager, director of project controls and as a licensed general engineering contractor in California. During his career he worked for major engineering companies including Fluor and Kaiser Engineers where he was responsible for the development and implementation of in­ house computerized estimating and project management systems. After Chip left Kaiser, he joined ARES Corporation and founded the PRISM Project Management software suite where he is currently employed as Vice President of ARES Software.

Craig Relyea, Project Control Manager Eli Lilly and Company

Craig Relyea has over 35 years of experience in the shipbuilding, petro­chemical, power and pharmaceutical industries. He is currently the Project Control Manager for all global capital projects for Eli Lilly and Company. With a strong background in all phases of design and construction management, as well as cost engineering, cost estimating, and contract administration, he is responsible for all aspects of Planning, Scheduling and Contract Administration. Mr. Relyea is also active in several industry professional associations. Chris Carson is Corporate Director of Project Controls for Alpha Corporation, an ENR top 100 ranked CM/PM professional engineering/construction firm providing engineering design and CM services, specializing in scheduling, schedule analysis, claims avoidance, cost estimating, and dispute resolution.

Chris has over 38 years of experience in educational, municipal, commercial, industrial, governmental, and residential projects, buildings as well as infrastructure and site work; including projects with complex phasing and stringent time constraint requirements. He has a strong background in all phases of construction management, combined with deep experience in critical path method scheduling, prospective and forensic schedule analysis, cost estimating, and dispute resolution. He has served in all CM roles, from Chief Estimator to Senior Scheduler to Senior Project Manager to Head of Construction Services working mostly for general contractors. David T. Dr. Hulett was project manager for the revision of the Risk Management chapter of the PMBOK® Guide that was published in 2000 and again for the 3rd Edition. Dr. Hulett was recently on the Core Committee for the PMI Practice Standard for Scheduling and was the Deputy Project Manager of the PMI Practice Standard for Risk Management. He has served as Director of Technology Development of the PMI RiskSIG and as the Director for Schedule Risk of the College of Scheduling.

Dr. Hulett has presented papers on cost and schedule risk analysis to many professional societies including PMI, INCOSE and AACE and at user groups for Primavera, C/S Solutions, Palisade and Crystal Ball. Dr. Hulett has held strategic planning positions at TOSCO, an oil company, and at TRW in aerospace and defense. In the Federal government, Dr. Hulett managed offices in the Federal Energy Agency, Department of Energy and the Office of Management and Budget. He was an economist at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. He was an Instructor in the Economics Department at Harvard University. His Ph.D. in Economics is from Stanford and B.A. in the Special Program for Public and International Affairs (Woodrow Wilson School) is from Princeton.

Dr. Gui Ponce de Leon, PE, PMP, LEED AP, CEO/Managing Principal PMA Consultants, LLC

Dr. Gui is a life­long researcher and innovator and a project management practitioner, with a career that includes 17 years as construction management graduate faculty at the University of Michigan. He has pioneered a number of innovations, including the graphical path method, and has written widely on the use of CPM in construction and in schedule analysis. Dr. Gui’s experience includes senior roles as investor’s developer, program manager, construction manager, EPC contractor planner, project controls engineer and cost/schedule analyst. Doc is the VP of Sales for Advisicon, Inc. Doc has over 30 years of experience working for large organizations including IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, Kellogg's, the State of California Department of Child Support Services, MCI, the International Institute for Learning (IIL), and the 1988 Winter Olympics Organizing Committee. E. Harvey Elwin, Manager SFPUC Construction Management Bureau

Mr. Elwin is a graduate Civil Engineer with BS and MS degrees from Oregon State University. He is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer in five western states including California. He has 43 years of progressive experience and increasing responsibility in design, construction management, and project and program management. His experience includes responsibility for management and delivery of a number of multibillion dollar water projects and programs throughout the US and world. Before coming to work for the City of San Francisco in 2004, Mr. Elwin was a Vice President of MHW Americas and as a Director managed its Global Energy and Infrastructure Business Operations directorate responsible for worldwide dam, canal, and hydroelectric project management/construction management work. He was responsible for business development, marketing, and operations management of the worldwide business operation. Prior to the merger between Montgomery Watson and Harza he was a Senior and General Partner of Harza Engineering Company. Prior to joining Harza Engineering Company Mr. Elwin was a Vice President of O’Brien Kreitzberg where he managed its construction management work in five states of the Pacific Northwest Region. Prior to joining O’Brien Kreitzberg, he retired as a Senior Project Manager from Bechtel Corporation after 27 years of outstanding service and accomplishments. Mr. Elwin is currently a member of ASCE, Project Management Institute, US Society on Dams, Sigma Xi, Disputes Review Board Foundation, and the Construction Management Association of America.

In 2004 Mr. Elwin was assigned by the City and County of San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) to manage the SFPUC Project Management Bureau and the $4.6 billion Water Systems Improvement Program (WSIP) to upgrade the Hetch Hetchy water system.

As Manager of the SFPUC Project Management Bureau between 2004 and 2007, Mr. Elwin redefined and guided the $4.6 billion WSIP through final planning, design, and environmental review. During this period he also managed the $360 million A and B Bond Program, the interim $150 million Wastewater CIP Program, and the ongoing SFPUC Repair and Replacement Program. When the Programmatic Environmental Impact Report was approved and WSIP was to move into the construction phase in 2007, Mr. Elwin was requested by SFPUC management to move to manage the SFPUC Construction Management Bureau and as Deputy Director manage the WSIP Construction Program. As Manager of the SFPUC Construction Management Bureau, Mr. Elwin is presently responsible for managing construction of all San Francisco’s water and wastewater construction work including the WSIP.

Frederick A. Arnold, PMP PMI Fellow

Fred Arnold – Since 2004, Mr. Arnold has led project management support to DHS Office of Information Technology and Transportation Security Administration's Office of Information Technology. He provides support on multiple data center migrations, transition of a $2 billion IT managed services contract, leading large IT projects and process improvement initiatives. Mr. Arnold led Client's development and implementation of comprehensive management control programs for over $6B+ of large capital projects, performed technical and management audits of project organizations, and led a management support team that achieved a national record for single project investment recovery of $4.565B by Client and Co­Owners and regulatory approved investment recovery of $10B. A certified PMP, he was elected as a Fellow by PMI, received the Distinguished Service Award, and recently completed six years of service on the PMI Board of Directors.

Garrett Harley, Product & Industry Manager – Engineering & Construction Oracle

A passionate advocate of project controls and the value that it provides sparked Garrett's career as a project controls engineer out of college with Bechtel Corporation, SF, CA. Upon leaving Bechtel, Garrett worked as a trainer, implementation consultant and sales engineer for a Primavera Authorized Reseller named Kelar Corporation in San Francisco. During Primavera's expansion his office and staff were acquired and formally joined the Primavera family in 1997. He has since continued to focus his ene! rgies on Engineering & Construction customers as part of the Primavera Global Business Unit within Oracle Corporation and now oversees those vertical industry and marketing efforts. "Knowing that our products are an integral part of delivering the tangible assets that you can see and touch first hand is why I think this is the most satisfying business to be in on the planet...for me it's always been about the projects". He is the lone Y chromosome in a family of 4, a volunteer ski patroller at Homewood Mountain Resort in the Lake Tahoe basin and an Ironman finisher.

George T. McLaughlin, Principal McLaughlin and McLaughlin

Mr. McLaughlin is a principal in McLaughlin and McLaughlin, an international project planning and management consulting firm. He provides Program / Project Development / Planning, Program / Project Management, Claim Preparation, Claim Defense and Counterclaim, Litigation Support / Testimony and other similar services. He provides domestic and international clients with EVM planning and management services and advice. He provides training and workshops on a worldwide basis on topics that include planning and management using EVM in large and complex projects.

Over the last seven years, Mr. McLaughlin has been Program or Project Manager on Hydrogen Plant, Sulphur Recovery Plant, Data Center Program, Refinery Retrofit and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing. In addition, he has provided services in the following project types:, Carbon Monoxide Plant, Melamine Production, Ethanol Production, LNG Terminal, LNG Production, Desulphurization Facilities, Power Generation (gas fired, geothermal) and others.

He is certified PMP and a licensed General Contractor in California. He is a member of PMI including EVM and COS Communities of Practice. Further, he is a member of Society of Construction Law, American Bar Association and The State Bar of Texas (Construction Law Section). Glen Palmer, Owner GR Palmer Consulting Services, LLC

Glen Palmer is the owner of GR Palmer Consulting Services, LLC. His firm specializes in Planning and Scheduling, Project Management, Dispute Resolution, and Risk Management projects. He has over three decades of engineering/construction experience in power, oil & gas, commercial, infrastructure, mining and process industries. He has recognized expertise in project/construction management, and project controls, including planning & scheduling, and cost engineering. He is a certified Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) and a Certified Forensic Claims Consultant (CFCC). Mr. Palmer has provided expert testimony in mediations, ICC Arbitrations and US courts. Gunnar Lucko, Director of the Construction Engineering and Management Program Catholic University of America

Gunnar Lucko is Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering and Director of the Construction Engineering and Management Program at Catholic University of America. He holds an M.S. and Ph.D. from Virginia Tech. His research interest include the mathematical modeling, simulation, and analysis of project schedules and their relationship with other aspects, e.g. costs, construction equipment operations and economics, optimization methods, and engineering education. Current research for the National Science Foundation (NSF) extends his investigation of new analytical models for construction projects to financial management. Previous research for NSF created a novel linear scheduling method with singularity functions (presented in 2008 at PMI­COS).

Gwen Barger, PMP, CSSBB Dynamic Training

Gwen consults in process improvement methods and creation of PMO: from organizational maturing analysis and goal setting, including all processes with risk analysis, through final assessments of changes and plan for divisional evolution. She pro­actively identify corporate growth opportunities, including risk and change management opportunities with project feasibility methods. Using integrated solution leverage using gap and performance analysis and competency tracking methods specializing in merger acquisition PMO planning. Gwen has extensive training expertise working toward REP status with PMI and Black/Green belt training initiatives.

Her broad industry experience promotes healthy project management techniques in variety of industries; new product development, IT implementations, financial organizations, health care management, government, green initiatives, education and finance.

Harold Dorbin, Senior Vice President Marsh Risk Consulting

Harold Dorbin is a senior vice president and the project advisory leader for Marsh Risk Consulting’s Construction Consulting Practice. Zsolt Putnoky, PMP, PMI­SP PrimaFrance / PrimaConsulting

During the last 13 years, Zsolt had been working mostly on telecom projects for major telecommunication companies across the globe. His roles revolved around issues with Project Control and Project Scheduling. Participating in projects, involving different cultures, business practices and technologies turned his attention towards complex project scheduling. At present he is holding the position of Senior Consultant at PrimaConsulting, a project management consultancy and training firm in France. Currently Zsolt is leading the development of Constellation together with PrimaFrance Systems. He is a PMP and PMI­SP certified practitioner.
