Consequently the new pendulum shows the swing needed to lose to be same as on the old pendulum. (b) There have been boundary changes in Black, Bragg, Chaffey, Cheltenham, Davenport, Elizabeth, Enfield, Finniss, Heysen, Kaurna, Kavel, King, MacKillop, Narungga, Port Adelaide, Ramsay, Schubert, Taylor, Unley, Waite and Wright. However, I have assessed their political effect as trivial. For that reason, the new pendulum shows the swing needed to lose to be the same as on the old pendulum. (c) In these seats I have used the statistics provided by the Electoral Districts Boundaries Commission. (d) Note that late in 2018 Jay Weatherill and John Rau resigned their seats. Consequent on by-elections on 9 February 2019 the Labor members are now Joe Szakacs in Cheltenham and Andrea Michaels in Enfield. For Pendulum see other side.

  • Motor Vehicle Insurance and Repair Industry in South Australia
PP 268 AN INQUIRY INTO MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE AND REPAIR INDUSTRY IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA Eighth Report of the ECONOMIC AND FINANCE COMMITTEE Tabled in the House of Assembly and ordered to be published on Thursday 24 September Second Session, Fifty-Fourth Parliament PRESIDING MEMBER'S FOREWORD The motor vehicle repair industry is a significant economic contributor, both in South Australia and nationally, generating over $7.2 billion in revenue nationally each year from over 111000 businesses that employ more than 37,000 people. In South Australia, almost 5,000 businesses in the automotive retail, service and repair sectors contribute $2.85 billion annually to the economy, employing over 29,000 people, including 500 apprentices, with another 900 apprentices in training. In recent decades the crash repair industry has undergone a rationalisation process at both the national and local level, but there are still hundreds of crash repairers located across the State, providing the important service of getting motor vehicles back on the road in a manner that ensures the continued safety of all South Australian road users. There was a substantial amount of interest in this Inquiry across the crash repair and motor vehicle insurance sectors. The Committee received 53 written submissions and heard from 35 witnesses across seven public hearings and two in camera hearings, held between October 2019 and July 2020. The public galleries at the hearings held in late 2019 were consistently full of interested observers, highlighting the significant importance this Inquiry held for the South Australian crash repair industry. During the Inquiry, the Committee heard from many crash repairers and consumers about the issues they had encountered while trying to get vehicles repaired as part of an insurance claim.

1 SA Abortion to Birth Community Survey OCTOBER 2020 2 ACL SOUTH AUSTRALIAN COMMUNITY SURVEY NOTES The Australian Christian Lobby has surveyed over 1000 voters in State seats to gauge public support for attempts to change the laws in relation to abortion in the state of South Australia. The survey clearly shows that the parliament is acting without the support of the community. MPs who support this proposal are demonstrating how out of touch they are with their electorates and are at increased electoral risk. While the results differ depending on the electorate, there a number of key points that are broadly consistent… ●• In every seat MPs who support late term abortion are likely to lose a substantial number of votes. ●• Across the state, public opinion is overwhelmingly against late term abortion. ●• There is a massive level of support for banning gender selection abortions. ●• In every seat surveyed, there is greater than 50% support for criminalising bullying or coercing a woman to have an abortion. ●• There is NO community consensus on abortion in general. Results show that support ranges from a low of 48% to a maximum of 63%. The ACL is calling on all SA MPs to act in accordance with community expectations and oppose Abortion to Birth.
