Car Parking Car parking is available on Carrington Street for various time limits and is ticketed. Minimal non-ticketed street parking may be available in surrounding streets. Alternatively, the Gilles Street Auto Park is located at 12-24 Gilles Street, Adelaide. AGM Agenda.Docx Shelter SA Board Nominations 2015 John Smith John Smith has a Bachelor of Science (Biology with Psychology Major) 1972 and Bachelor of Social Administration 1976, both from Flinders University. John has worked professionally in the community services sector in South Australia for State Government and non- government agencies from 1977-2015 and retired from full time work in May 2015. From 2010-2015 John was on the Executive of the Child and Family Welfare Association (CAFWA), an advocacy and policy body, and has also been involved in advocating on a number of other community service issues. John has a strong interest in social justice, empowerment and advocating for improving services and the quality of life of disadvantaged people. Julie Duncan Common Ground works to reduce homelessness through the provision of stable affordable housing coupled with support for the most vulnerable people in our community. Julie’s work at Common Ground involves overseeing the day to day running of Common Ground across property, tenancies, marketing and stakeholder relations, governance and budget management. Over the past 20 years Julie has worked in policy, advisory and management roles across government, community housing, crisis accommodation, and carer support. Julie holds qualifications in housing management, and urban planning, and has a strong interest in housing affordability. Julie also served as an elected member, Chair of Policy, Chair of Finance and Presiding Member of the Development Assessment Panel for over 10 years in the City of Charles Sturt. Tom Earls Tom Earls is a founding partner of Fair Work Lawyers, a boutique law firm that specialises in employment, industrial relations and construction related matters. Previous to this, Tom worked for the Master Builders’ Association, providing legal and strategic advice, as well as lobbying government at all levels. Tom has served on a variety of boards and committees, and is well acquainted with political processes, having served as an advisor to the Federal government. Adrian spoke on several key issues affecting housing and homelessness in Australia with an increase in the number of applications lodged for social housing this year. He also referenced the shortfall of affordable housing currently being experienced in Australia and the difficulties people have accessing and affording properties in the private rental market. 3. Minutes of the 2013 AGM Minutes of the 2013 AGM were included in the 2013-2014 Annual Report. Motion: That the minutes of the Shelter SA 2013 AGM held October 1 2013 be accepted as a true and correct record after the removal of the second to last paragraph under point 10. Moved: Kathy Mott Seconded: Sarah Watson Carried 4. Chairperson’s Report The Chair, Kathy Mott acknowledged the achievements of Shelter SA over the past year, noting both the highlights as well as some frustrations. Kathy Mott’s full report is included in the Annual Report. Motion: That the Chairperson’s Report for 2013-2014 be accepted. Moved: Kathy Mott Seconded: Andrew Davis Carried 5. Executive Director’s Report The Executive Director’s Report was presented in the Annual Report 6. Treasurer’s Report The Treasurer’s Report was included in the Annual Report.
