Risk Management
Risk Management Since 2004, the Company has implemented the enterprisewide risk management policies to handle the uncertainties which could affect the business goals, to assure of goal achievement and enhance the operational success under the good corporate governance practices amid fierce competition and volatile business conditions. The Board of Directors established the Enterprisewide Risk Management Committee (ERMC), having experts in the area as directors to work with the Company’s directors and high-ranking executives. The committee is tasked to set the administrative direction, develop the efficient enterprisewide risk management system through cooperation from all levels of the organization, keep the overall risk management in the acceptable level, and formulate the appropriate risk management structure. There is the risk management unit as the central body in coordinating with other units in assessing and accumulating all types of risks. There is a risk coordinator at each business to push forward the risk management system for the following reasons: 1. Identify risks which could affect the organization’s core targets. 2. Evaluate the impacts and chance of damage possibly arising from each type of risk, to prioritize risks. 3. Prepare the appropriate risk management system in accordance with risk priorities, with efficient use of limited resources. 4. Having the information technology-supported risk management monitoring system and submitting periodical reports to the Board of Directors. In the past year, the Company continued with the workshop to brainstorm ideas from all departments, to map the plan to handle risks to the Company’s core targets in the organizational and department levels. The Company also initiated the risk management plan for the lower levels as well as hosted activities to create the atmosphere and raise awareness of all employees in the virtues of risk management. -

A STUDY OF THE SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT MODEL OF ECOTOURISM HOMESTAY ENTERPRISES IN THE UPPER NORTH OF THAILAND Chayapadhana Loetamnatkitseri A Dissertation Submitted in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Doctor of Public Administration School of Public Administration National Institute of Development Administration 2018 ABSTRACT Title of Dissertation A Study of the Sustainable Management Model of Ecotourism Homestay Enterprises in the Upper North of Thailand Author Mr. Chayapadhana Loetamnatkitseri Degree Doctor of Public Administration Year 2018 The objectives of this research were 1) to study the management approaches of 12 ecotourism homestay enterprises in the upper north of Thailand by focusing on natural resources and environmental management, capital and labor, marketing and public relations, tourism activities, and network building, and to propose a model of ecotourism management and government support for the sustainable success of the ecotourism homestay enterprises; 2) to examine the knowledge management of the ecotourism homestay enterprises in the upper north of Thailand in terms of knowledge collection, creation, storage, analysis, sharing, and application; and 3) to evaluate the success of the ecotourism homestay enterprises in the economic, ecological, and cultural aspects. The study area covered 5 provinces in the upper north of Thailand, which consisted of Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mae Hong Son, Nan, and Lampang. There were 12 homestays included in the study: Ban Mae Kampong Homestay, Ban Nong Arb Chang Homestay, Doi Pumuen Homestay, Maejo Bandin Homestay, Ban Tha Khan Thong Homestay, Ban Apha Pattana Homestay, Sila Phet Homestay, Ban Had Pha Khon Homestay, Ban Luk Tai Homestay, Ban Sam Kha Homestay, Ban Muang Pon Homestay, and Ban Tor Pae Homestay. -

The Formation of the Value of Thai society in the context of National Security By Colonel Rifky Nawawi Indonesian Army Student of The National Defence College The national Defence Course: Class 59 Academic Year 2016-2017 ii Preface Advancement in science and technology, especially information technology, communications and transportation that takes place very quickly will affect the character of a nation, including the social values of the Thai society which are the foundation and outlook of the nation. What efforts have been made and are being done by the Thai government to control the effects of globalization so that there is no decrease in the understanding of national security? How does the government play a role in the preservation of traditions and customs? What is the contribution of state leadership to developing national defense attitudes and behaviors? Strengthening the implementation to improve national identity as part of the efforts of building national resilience actually has a very strong foothold. The reference made in the form of formal legal basis in its implementation is a policy that is general and does not require clear and firm explanation. The Government's stern attitude will determine the policy direction towards the nation's character building through the development of science-based education and technology based on character, socialization, preservation of traditions, customs and selection, morality and contribution of government leaders to the development and the development of the Thai character. This study does not provide an answer but it provides some insight into understanding the impact of globalization on the value of social value of Thai society.
